DJ Khaled & DJ vs the Rapper

So it was a week ago that Miami DJ, DJ Khaled dropped another major release on us flavored with many big names from the south as well as the whole rap industry. It's just a little more proof of how big and diverse the hip hop movement is becoming. A Palestinian DJ born in New Orleans and now in Miami is working his way up the charts with what is essentially a mixtape put on a major label.

Check out his page to hear some music from his release 'We The Best.' He's got new tracks recently added since the release featuring the current single and tracks with names like Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Baby, Trick Daddy, Fat Joe, The Game and a whole lot more. It's like a who's who in hip hop on the tracks and this brings me to a new question.

Do you like a hot mixtape more than a major release? The mixtape industry is at a crossroads with the arrest and attempted shut down of DJ's and sites across the country. And at the same time it's receiving major attention and shifting to an occasional major release here and there and DJ Khaled's is the latest and biggest on the southern rap scene.

The northeast up in NY, they've had the mixtape game on lock for a while now but it's growing fast in the south. So do you get onto mixtapes for your fix of the freshest and best music that's out there or do you still wait for the industry to give you a half ass release every so often? Speak up with your wallet and support major mixtape releases and the expansion of the mixtape industry for better quality releases.
