So Im back again this weekend and I wanted to get out the word on some more indie artists that are trying to do their thing and get in the game. This time I've got a little info on the FruitCity G's and R.O.M.E. and I think you're going to like what you hear.
Lets start with the FruitCity G's, they're coming at you straight out of Orange, Texas. So yeah you're saying where is Orange, Texas and I'll tell you I had no idea myself. But if you know the port city Port Arthur then you're almost in Orange. Across the bride and almost in Louisiana the boys in Orange are keeping it trill just like they do in the port, its damn near the same city. And they do it real nice on their page with a track featuring none of than Pimp C and Hezeleo. It's definitely something for you to check out if you like that UGK or third coast flavor and I know you do. Check out 'Hit and Never Miss" for that port city flow.
Next we've got R.O.M.E. a man who's right on the verge and had a recent mixtape dropped with none other than DJ Smallz. So you might have already copped that one, it's that Hotlanta type of flow. You've got some serious beats and plenty of bass with a club type of feel to alot of what I've heard. He's from Atlanta by way of Birmingham, Alabama and has real lyrics over his beats and has been doing the mixtape scene for a minute now. Check out any of his tracks and you can even download to listen to away from your computer.
And now some random MySpace hate. Can we get artists that handle their own MySpace acccounts and not 17 year old kids that use a 50,000 person friend list for a popular artist to drop bullsh!t spam annoucements and bulletins on everyone to buy everything except a George Foreman grill. If you cant handle your own sh!t then you dont even need to have a page. Everyone has access to the internet these days and you can handle your biz on your sidekick, laptop or whatever from almost any spot. Get these MySpace managers off your friends list and start supporting people that are serious about their biz and willing to deal directly with their fans and business.
Sorry no pics or videos today, just serious business letting people that are on the streets griding get a little bit of time in the spotlight!
