April 2007 Archives

I know the Lil' Flip vs. T.I. beef is some old stuff, but some things are surfacing via YouTube that I don't think anybody has seen before...at least I hadn't seen it. I thought it was really interesting. Thank you to the dude who posted this link yesterday on the blog, bringing it to my attention. It seems Cloverland wanted the real story behind the whole beef to be told.

Alright for those of you who missed the game yesterday, the Houston Rockets beat the Utah Jazz 98-90 in game 2 of the series. That puts the Rockets up 2 games to none over the Jazz. Damn we kick ass. Let's sweep these Utah fools.

Ok...that aside...what the hell is wrong with some of you? People are on here day-in and day-out hating constantly on anything that they can get their hands on. Even in a time of tragedy when we should be remembering how fragile life is, and how it can be taken away in an insant, you fools are on here bickering over stupid/ignorant shit. Get real man. After losing a loved one two weeks ago, and then coming on here yesterday and reading some of the shit ya'll said, I came to a realization. Some of ya'll need to find some time away from your computers and figure out what life is really about.

Lil' Flip released a song mourning the victims of the Virginia Tech tragedy. While the song seems to be receiving mixed responses, I think it was a real ass move of Flip to take the time to do something in rememberance. People are saying he did it just to gain more exposure for his recently released album, which could be true, but at the same time at least he did something to try and help people mourn. The tragedy that occurred has put our whole country into a state of mourning, and I personally applaud him for doing something to help people get through it. Look at it from a positive point of view, and don't judge Flip, because the song is supposed to help you mourn those who have been lost. It has nothing to do with Flip.

Of course there isn't a damn bit of information on the Rap-A-Lot website (at least not yet), but at this link: http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/discography/index.jsp?pid=266355&aid=934142 (and Billboard is a pretty trustworthy source), it says Z-Ro is going to drop Power on May 8th of this year. Oh yeah and to Ha 2er who posted this:

You've Probably Never Heard Of This Guy

I don't know how many of you are from Dallas that read this blog, but this dude is living in D Town. I haven't heard of him and I'm pretty sure none of the people from the H in here have either, however I am gonna throw him some shine today. His name is Blast, and he is signed to Big Gun Records.

I am way too frustrated to write a real blog. This is from http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003567085:

The "Disneymania 5: Music Stars Sing Disney Hits... Their Way!" compilation debuts at No. 14 with 44,000. Rapper Lil' Flip starts right behind that set at No. 15 with "I Need Mine" (Asylum/Warner Bros., 43,000).

You have got to be fucking shitting me. Disneymania 5? Kill me now.

Still To Come: UGK, Mike Jones, Chamillionaire

Alright now Paul Wall, Devin the Dude, and Lil' Flip have all dropped in the past couple months. We still got some major releases to look forward to though. UGK is dropping their double album UGK: Underground Kingz with 32 new tracks on May 9th. I know all of ya'll have been hearing the singles "The Game Belongs To Me," "Quit Hatin The South," and "Stop & Go" on the radio, and have probably seen the video for "The Game Belongs to Me" on TV. Well in a little bit over a month we will all be able to enjoy that 2 disc release.

Alright as you all know from yesterday's blog, the new Paul Wall album Get Money, Stay True drops today. If you want information on the CD, or to listen to a few of that joints that are on it, hit up yesterday's blog. You all know pretty much what to expect from Paul, and I'm sure he'll go platinum again, so if you want it remember to go pick up that CD.

Alright the ice man Paul Wall's new CD Get Money, Stay True will be on shelves all over the world tomorrow. He already has two singles getting crazy air play, and music videos all over TV, for "I'm Throwed" featuring JD and "Break'em Off" featuring Lil' Keke. His style is the same, but surprisingly Paul is coming up with some pretty unique and interesting stuff on the new album. Every song I have heard so far is pretty damn good, and I'm not a huge fan of Paul Wall.
