It's about damn time friday rolled around. Good mother fuckin friday morning SOHH Houston. Let me start by saying I'm liking the way this is goin man...the Houston blog has been on the lower half of participation and shit...and we're gettin better. We are getting more and more fans of this SOHH Houston shit, or atleast more participants, everyday. To all you loyal mother fuckers who been down on this SOHH Houston blog even before I was around, and are still here, you dudes are doin yo thing. To all of you who are just gettin into this shit...stick around you might learn a thing or two. I'm happy with the way it's going, and when I'm happy I do my best to make ya'll happy, and then shit...everyones happy. Aight now we get down to business. DJ Bounz (pronounced DJ Bounce) is an up-and-coming DJ outa the ATX (Austin, TX for you slow dudes who drool alot). He's droppin a mixtape called Mindset Vol.2 which is hosted by Rasaq, and Tum-Tum outa D-Town.

Rasaq, as you all know, is Chamillionaire's brother, and he's been in this rap underground shit in the H for a while. He recently started his own company, Royal Green, and is doin this mixtape in preperation to his new album release which will be entitled Reloaded. This is what Bounz had to say about the decision to have Rasaq on the mixtape: "Ive been a long time fan of Rasaq and have seen him grind over the years. I felt that having him apart of Mindset Vol. 2 was a good move and fans would appreciate it, especially after they hear this new material of his." Ain't that sweet. Tum-Tum, as you all know, is straight outa DSR in Dallas and has also been on this underground rap shit for a while. He is now signed to a joint contract between T-Town and Universal Records, and has an album scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2007. He also debuted a music video for his song "Caprice Music" earlier this week. DJ Bounz focuses on exposing the hottest up-and-coming artists outa the South.

The mixtape, Mindset Vol. 2, is droppin in stores and online on December 19th. You can preorder your copy on DJBounz.com if you are extremely impatient and have to spend your money this very moment. Anyway the mixtape has got new music from Chamillionaire, Trae, UGK, Lil Keke, Paul Wall, Chingo Bling, A-3, Rob G, Basswood Lane, J-Kapone, Kyle Lee, Nac, Swift, Jokaman, Max Minelli, SparkDawg, Young Twinn, Question and more. Dj Bounz is known as The Essential Mixtape DJ of Texas and is quickly becoming known as one of the fastest growing, most reliable DJs doin his thing. He is affiliated with Top Dollar Records/Clothing, and continues to build his fan base by frequently dropping new material. So this whole thing sounds like it should shape out to be a pretty good deal.
