Swagger? Check. Heart? Check. Flow? Check. Southern drawl? Check. Check. Check.
Dope rhymes? Dope rhymes?

Problem Houston, dope rhymes missing from package?

But, that's only based on 3 to 4 songs, so, take my assessment with a gigangtic grain of salt. Besides, judging southern emcees by their level of lyricism is like judging Dubya by his degree of truthfulness. Not fair.

So, who are we talking about anyway? 19-year old Young Twinn -- H-Town's latest import by way of Louisiana -- refers to himself as "Tommorrow." Tomorrow definitely has a shot. From the little I've heard Tomorrow's ears are properly aligned with the current wave of blossoming hits, and the art of emulation is well perfected in his young mind. I've been listening to his leave-your-shoes-at-the-door smash, "Getcha Cake Up" and just as I was about to say that his flow is reminiscent of a young Lil' Wayne, I heard him say, "Even on my worst day, I spit fire like Weezy." So, does that make Young Twinn the bootlegg version of Lil Wayne?

Not quite.

Put it this way: every rapper that's successful today started off by modeling after their favorites, then gradually veered into their own original style. Eminem still owes Masta Ace a gazillion "thanks" for jacking his whole style. Even though it's not that obvious, Chingo Bling learned to rap by mimicking Ice Cube and Chuck D.

Ok, maybe not.

But hey, give this young man a chance and soon he'll be swangin' to the top of the...

Ok, maybe not. But, he's definitely one to keep an eye on. Get familiar.
