Court Documents Obtained: Is There Really a Houston Rapper with HIV/AIDS?

What if all this hoopla about a so-called Houston rapper spreading HIV/AIDS turns out be one big hoax? I'm not saying that there's no truth the alleged lawsuit, after all, it's a confidential document, if it exists at all. But, in the past three or four weeks that these allegations have been making rounds, nothing tangible has surfaced to really solidify the existence of this lady and her lawsuit. Wouldn't it be a great idea if all the prominent H-Town rappers emulated Slim Thug by showing us their HIV tests? Well, that may not even be necessary. Some court documents obtained by a good friend of mine and FOX News reporter, Isiah Carey, reveals a unique twist to this matter.

There are some people who earn their full-time income from taking rappers to court. So, it's no surprise that these artists have been sued for everything from paternity disputes to breach of contract. Hell, didn't Kanye West and Ludacris get sued for saying three words 'just like that' on their hit, "Stand Up." Back to Houston, the Harris County court document obtained by Carey (I forgot how inexpensive these documents are), reveal that none of the prominent rappers mentioned earlier has been charged with spreading the deadly disease.

As Isiah aka Mr. Insite has already noted, this doesn't necessarily throw the allegation out the window. It means one of three things:

  1. The lawsuit was not filed in Harris County
  2. It may have been filed as a federal civil lawsuit
  3. It wasn't a 'prominent' Houston rapper, it was one of his homeboys

For your convenience, here's a translation of the government names that appear in the documents:

  • Steven Richard Shaw - Bushwick Bill
  • Stayve Thomas - Slim Thug
  • Chad Butler - Pimp C
  • Joseph McVeigh - Z-Ro
  • Eric Wesley Weston - Lil' Flip
  • Seriki Ibrahim - Chamillionaire
  • Brad Jordan - If you don't know who Brad Jordan is, you shouldn't even listen to hip-hop.

PS: In case you're still wondering why SOHH Houston is concerned about this issue, don't you think that anyone who deliberately pulls a Johnson Aziga on another person deserves to be put in their place?
