Arabs Are The New Niggers

...I need a new nigga for this black cloud to follow,
'cause while it's over me it's too dark to see tommorrow..." - Nas

Recently I have been able to catch cabs in Manhattan at any time of the night. Now, if you’re not a Black man like I am, you probably don’t realize how amazing it is not to be passed over by the yellow cabs in this city. The racial profiling by taxi drivers was so common, my friends and I had accepted it like all other unchangeable truths- rain is wet, the sky is blue, and a Black guy can’t catch a cab in midtown.

But now I can. I don’t know why the change has happened, but it has. And I almost feel afraid to talk about it, as if it can be jinxed and everything will go back to normal.

Now here’s something weird- whenever I’m in a cab with a Middle Eastern driver, and he’s speaking his coded language to another Arab over a radio, I tense up and wonder, “Are they planning a terrorist attack??” My view of these guys is so bad that sometimes I want to wave off a taxi if I see the guy has a turban on his head, or a long Bin Laden beard.

Yes, I know that’s not right. Be easy with me. I’m confessing here.

I’ve heard comedians and social critics point out that after 9/11 Middle Easterners are the new “niggers” on the block. Well, with the crazy fears I have based just on how people look, I would agree that’s true.

Comments

I think I saw Bin laden at 7/11....... in Surry B.C

Shit...he might be planning something. Just pay your fee and leave him the hell alone.

How salient and relevant. Only 3 1/2 years after I heard the first comment to this effect.

Nope... bin Laden is in Toronto, ON. I saw him at a 7/11 here too.... buying blunts nigga!!! Damn... you still can't catch a cab if you black and in Toronto... go figure.

Man fo get deez A rabs, cuz dey used 2 think dey wuz betta then us now da tables have turned on dem.....

Now i aint one to preach but i will say a few words now and then so her goes. I can see why everyone is so concerns about our fellow brown skin brothers shit white people where scarred of us for years. But think about it, why, yeah i know the 911 thing change alot but has it really. The white man is still the majority and still telling you who the enemy is. I know that 911 was done by Arabs so what white people have been doing thing through out history that never got them profiled. LOL now i know you might think i dont like white people but that aint it my kids are mixed my wife is white i just call it like i see it.

Congrats Arabs, you are now the new niggers. Just when we were about to go give that title to the Mexicans, you stole the show. Don't go celebrating with bombs and shit. Just be ready for white kids wanting to talk like you and dress like you (us black people been dealing with it for years) Plus, now that we're on the same playing field, maybe you can stop ice grillin me when I come in the corner store.

ARABS ARE THE BEST. PEEPS THINK THAT THEY CAN UNDERSTAND THEM BUT DONT HAVE A CLUE.

""""""""Now here’s something weird- whenever I’m in a cab with a Middle Eastern driver, and he’s speaking his coded language to another Arab over a radio, I tense up and wonder, “Are they planning a terrorist attack??” My view of these guys is so bad that sometimes I want to wave off a taxi if I see the guy has a turban on his head, or a long Bin Laden beard."""""""""

Wow... It's funny how you like to judge Arabs in such a way. First you express your feelings about the racism factor coming into affct when an African American attempts to catch a taxi in NY. Then you turn around and shed your ur personal veiws towards Arabs, and explained how now you have become hesitant to get into a cab with a middle-eastern looking driver. What makes you any different then those racist fucks that wouldn't stop for you when all you needed was a ride home? You might want to rethink your philosophies. Oh, and im an Arab that grew up in Virginia, towards the outskirts of Washington DC. It was a very diverse community. Of those people I lived amongst, I was closest to of course, people of my kind, and African-Americans. I got so many black relations, that its just ashame to see a fellow brother think in such a way. Don't let the media and government decieve you to a point where you are too blind to see REAL from FAKE.

This post is funny. Don't think those cabs dont just stop for blacks, they dont stop for their own either. Trust me I used to try and hail cabs everyday. They pick up white people because they tip better, no more no less.

AS far as being the new niggers. Well, dont matter, I always considered myself a nigger in this country despite whatever the media tells you when they try and split up all non-whites into competing groups, which I believe is working for them. I am not Arab either or muslim but surely can pass for one.

Divide and conquer as they say. Anyway, as they strip rights away from Arabs, it strips it away for all of us. Just remember that. When they say they want to lock up all arabs, it is only a hop skip and jump away from locking up all blacks, not that they arent trying that anyway.

Yeah i think the enemy is not even the white folks coz i am friends with alot of good white people,i am black myself.I think the enemy here is hate,if you got hate for your brethren for no reason at all just coz they different then you the most stupid person on earth i dont care if its retaliation or what,we are all 'brothas'wherether black, arab, white, latina or whatever, spread love people! amean those idiots that dont stop for you coz you black are just victims of their less than average brain. And the truth is that the media is trying to find drama whenever, wherever it can so whoever controls your eye ball controls your mind,in the 60's they said power to the people,in this here we gon' say power to the pupil!

What does looking like an ARAB means? Wearing a turban? A long beard? If you see somebody with a long beard and you'll probably say "OH SHIT !!!!! Osama" Why do you that is? Is it because the real enemy (US GOVERNMENT) has told you that ARABS are the ones who that committed 9/11. So now when you do word association and someone say ARAB automatically you say "terrorism" or "OSAMA". Just think there are about 1.25 million people of Arabic descent within the US borders. If another terrorist attacks was going to happen it would have happened already. It will only happen when the (US Gov't) say so. I got way off the subject though........ 4give me 4 that

this guy hashim must be out of his mind, talking shit like a girl.i hate to tell you what you are but i will, just remember your ancestors were slaves and so are you no matter what it follows you.if i were you i would've felt ashamed for living and aint doing shit,no revenge no will, nothing all you think about is pussy nothing more and since you aint got no pride honor what so ever quit talking about issues way too heavy for your ass.i am black i am muslim EAST AFRICA FOR ETERNITY

I am a 19 year old white male, I am a part of the uprising youth that will be the future for this world, and I am disgusted. As the dumbfounded adult minions parade around the media and public awareness, they spoon feed these notions of some particular race to be bitter and cruel, to the point that every race has developed some magnitude of fear toward one another. For thousands of years the solution of coping with each race was by what my belligerent egocentric father refers to as "Ethnic Cleansing." Judge not lest ye be judged thyself. Is a white man not just as much capable of crashing an airplane into a building as a middle-eastern? Racism is ignorance. So if racism is bliss, then ladies-and-gentlemen America has reached nirvana. They'll kill me because I speak, but I wont shut my mouth untill they put a bullit in it. A society that lives in fear is a society that never grows. So I say to the youth of the world, decide with your soul and not the media!

GOOD ONE RALEIGH I AGREE ALMOST COMPLETELY

yo, its 2005, if you still got a problem with someone cause what color they are, slap your self.

I'm a arab, born in the Bronx, raised on the border of the hudson river, in NJ, and moved to palestine for 2 years. Now I'm stuck here, in MI. I have been through some shit, and seen even so much more (I lived in palestine for 2 years of war and struggle).

I would'nt called Arab the new "niggers" becasue they have always been treated bad by society. But, really, what so called defines the word "nigger" by being treated badly so much then being used, and/or forced to do shit they dont want to(Israel taking over random land in the West Bank when the whole thing, including Israel, which should belong to us, but white people came and gave it to the Jews. The U.S government is made of Jews anyway, Israel in my eye controls America if you read the news).

In my religon, Islam, it strictly teaches and tells that Slavery is a wrong thing, but were are all slaves for god.

Arabs have always been treated badly by society, but I guess now that TV and Media started to pick up on it more and more, people are starting to realize it. I have to go now, but expect more from me soon...till then.

Peace,

Mo

So what about the Arabs who have killed millions of blacks over the years. Why do they get a pass. Teh arabs has inslaved move blacks the Europeans ever did. They are still killing blacks in the Sudan up to this day. Even black muslims. They try to hide behind Islamic brother hood. But how did the Arabs gain control of so many Africn countries????

wow nas your really ignorant for making them racial comments !.I think you should really think about the statement you just made and the impact it has on the youth of today.Your a music icon who has had to deal with racial profiling and you talk about a guy doing you a service and giving you a ride then compare him to a terrorist. The only reason terror still lives is because of the unthoughtful comments you have just made! thanks for listening to what i have to say

All Niggers must burn!!!!!!! Brown or Black. Nuff Said.

onthereal....somehow i think you jeweish..

1. Sudan is made up of nearly 90% black muslims.

2. It is against the religon of islam and the quran that one kills another over racial discrimination. There are muslim everything, white, black, chinese, japanese, everything. If you kill someone becasue there race, then your not muslim.

3. Muslims never owned slaves, I notice you said Arabs though. Your point making you even more racist then the guy in the taxi, just becasue some ARABS do it, then they all do.

4. You said how did the arabs gain control of so many african countries? Well, if you were smart you would look at history. Ottoman Empire..did you forget?

LOOK UP YOUR SHIT BEFORE YOU TALK!!

BTW, just to tell you, I know your not black, but I know this for a fact, the israel government goes into africa, and finds starving blacks and people, and tell them they'll shelter them and supply with food if they become jewish, and family join the army. Im not being racist to jewish people, I have alot of jewish friends, im just pointing out facts here.

we were muslims way before the ottoman empire, them homos were shit,i'll tell you there will come a day were the whole african continent will be all out muslims.

First off, we are all fighting a never ending war, im not talking bout pussy over in iraq, as far as im concerned bush is speeding up the process, we are all going to kill each other and ourselves. The real war is Culture vs Culture or Color vs Color, African American vs White vs Mexican vs Chinese vs Jap....and so on i hear so much shit from so many people i hang out with everyone and where all on the same level, i know white boys who wont buy hondas, i know chinese people who cant shop at certain stores and shit. Black people are like shop at black owned stores and businesses everyone does that. My personal belief is if you have color, if you are indeed a minority then you are a nigger, black, mexican, chinese, white people dont want us here, sure we are fitting in more and what not, but if by choice then i dont have to say it. It would be them, then everyone else, so my theory is we all gang up and get rid of them, enslave, them(white people). Then i think realistically, rationally, like an educated man as opposed to a hectic lunatic. they say death cant solve problems but its all about killing the right people, hitler....killed- end of holocaust, im sure if we get osama then it will be the end of this bullshit, you cant gang up on any group of people by color or religion or anything but you can kill one person. If it were up to me years back i would have blown texas, louisiana, georgia, alabama, mississippi, and other racist southern states off the map, forget the south kill those, racist bastards, except now those states lead the nations' population for african americans. I see confederate flags and wish i could destroy 'the dirty south' and all that shit but then there are those 'good' people that live there. so that would be wrong. Kill the one certain person and the war and potential wars and everything is/will be over but to hate everyone because of it...thats just wrong, thats just sick, whats wrong with you people?

In my religon, Islam, it strictly teaches and tells that Slavery is a wrong thing, but were are all slaves for god.

Listen the Arabs/Muslims enslaved/enslave, murder/murdered, torcher/torchered fellow humans. This takes place in The Sudan DAILY!. Osama Bin Laden has been quoted refering to Africans/African-Americans as slaves. Consider the behavior of the typical Arab/Muslim/Middle Easterner in America, they have no use for African-Americans, to say they suffer from a self-inflicted "image problem" would be acurate. They (Arabs/Muslims)always refrence the Koran's teachings about slavery, what they leave out is that the practice has and contimues to be, the servitude non-Muslims. These people just happen to look like "us". I find the new abused minority posture of the Arab-Americans ironic to say the least, when historically they desire the status of "honorary whites" with all the attendent rights and privalages. The history of missuse and abuse of Black people at their hand leaves me less than empathetic, I am also disturbed the lack of candor/honesty with regard to these subjects. Three Mauritanian anti-slavery activists have been jailed for exposing the plight of slaves in the country, according to a human-rights group.

The Paris-based Observatory for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders (OMCT) said Muhammad Lemine Wald Mahmudi, a journalist who had investigated a case of slavery in a remote village, was arrested last week.

He is being held in a prison in the town of Russo in the southwest of the country, accused of "endangering national security".

Mahmudi, who suffers from migraines, has been refused medical attention, and is now being kept in a tiny, suffocatingly hot cell with violent and ill offenders, OMCT said.

Meanwhile, two of Mahmudi's colleagues have been imprisoned on the same charges in the capital, Nouakchott.

Aichatu Mint al-Hadar, a teacher, and Moya Mint Boyah, the wife of an opposition senator, are supporters of a local association, SOS Slaves, and members of an opposition party – the Popular Progressive Alliance.

Witnesses bribed?

According to SOS Slaves, the three activists witnessed the uncovering of a slavery case on 14 March.

But two days later state television broadcast the testimonies of the alleged victim and her husband saying the trio had harassed them.

However, the OMCT allege the pair were bribed into making the statements.

"The observatory considers that these three people have been arbitrarily detained and prosecuted in reprisal for their anti-slavery activities in Mauritania"

Paris-based Observatory for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders

"The observatory considers that these three people have been arbitrarily detained and prosecuted in reprisal for their anti-slavery activities in Mauritania.

"It expresses its great concern over their physical and psychological well-being," the group said.

Mauritanian authorities should immediately release the activists and drop all charges against them, OMCT said.

It added that all harassment against human-rights defenders in Mauritania should be halted and reprisals against them prevented.

Although Mauritanian authorities have confirmed the arrests, they have not commented specifically on the cases.

Punishable offence

Mauritania vehemently denies the existence of slavery in the country.

Last year it enacted a law making the practice illegal and slave ownership punishable with a fine or prison sentence.

Ahmad Taya's government says
there is no slavery in Mauritania

No one has yet to be prosecuted under the law, but Nouakchott says this is because slavery was abolished in Mauritania long ago.

Nevertheless, human-rights groups regularly condemn the country for not doing enough to combat slavery.

London-based Amnesty International has said extensive human-rights abuses connected to slavery are committed with impunity in Mauritania and that former slaves suffer continuing discrimination.

"Such an ingrained social, economic, and political problem can only be eradicated by confronting all its aspects," said Amnesty in a recent report.

"Otherwise it will persist, especially when those who speak out against slavery are arrested and imprisoned, their organisations remain unauthorised and newspapers are seized to prevent discussion."

"Otherwise it will persist, especially when those who speak out against slavery are arrested and imprisoned, their organisations remain unauthorised and newspapers are seized to prevent discussion."

white girls on my dick allday any day.
go commit suicide coz you aint ready for war.

It depends on how you define "nigger," though. As in by being discriminated? Well, I'm mexican and I listen to rap...so if you define it according to resemblances, Mexicans would fit the spot. I HOPE BLACK PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THAT IF IT WEREN'T FOR MEXICANS AND ALL OTHER LATINOS FAMOUS MAINSTREAM RAPPERS WOULDN'T BE AS RICH AS THEY ARE NOW.

black white arab mexican it doesn't matter if u going to get fuck well its faith so who really give a fuck cause all the bitching and complaining is not changing shit what all u fags need to do is get yall act 2gether and live life and do u cause belive it or not the world will keep on turning wheter u in it or not

The word "nigger" was brought here by aristocratic europeans, as a term to define a poor black social class, and was first written way back in the 15th century. Being black in KY, I've heard it out of every type of person's mouth, flambouyant racists, closet rasicts, and people who just don't know any better, but, I think that Arabs get just as pissed as we do, or soon will from the word, because its offensiveness has only grown since its first use way back in the days of the crusades.

Racism is part product of the media and part product of internal fear. The media enjoys displaying the crimes and shortcomings of minorities, especially those in power. Ex: Marion Berry: We all know what he did while he was in office, but would he have been in National Headlines for almost a year if he was white?

Thats the ability of the media. To put a slant on any type of story to destroy someones credibility, and nowadays its seems to be another races credibility. Maybe its to hide that the war is really over oil, or some other reasons that our minds havent thought of yet. But its clear, that when the media is out to get a person or race, they can destroy them, and incredibly well.

i am a muslim pakistani and i agree wit both views on this board...i can't lie an say arabs haven't enslaved many africans cuz it'z true..but those r a certain group of elite who have enslaved these slaves...juss like there are less than model christians there are less than model muslims...however for the most part an i mean 98% muslims don't believe in these extremist attacks an that is juss wut they are no different from extremist christian tactics in ireland...now because of the actions of a few a whole religion which includes 100'z if not thousands of separate sub-cultures attatched to this religion is under attack...i refuse to believe in this day an age an informed person could easily distinguish between wut threats are real an which aren't...but that'z prolly the problem...lack of information...all of us talking here are helping expose the realities an myths an i believe we can all muslim christian jewish an all other religions can work together to try an make the world a better place cuz i refuse to fear something because it is different but i will fight something if it'z wrong

Well it's bullshit.

there would have never been slaves in America if other Africans didn't sell their own.

every ethinic group has been enslaved by another OR ITS OWN at some point in history. Its so fresh in the memory right now that it seems to take on more importance. how come you never hear about English natives who wanted revenge on there Roman Imperial owners?

Not too interested in the subject of race, but curious about all the fuss.

Man.I am pakistani right.I live in France right now. But i grew up in Colorado and left when i was 22.Personaly i support Osama Bin Laden and the Talbin. And i hate yankees and niggers and indians and chineseesians. But the Taxi thing is stupid. I bet we just dont pick u up because you are broke and dont tip anything nigga!Lol.YEA!ho//a bak.OuT

I'm a white Canadian and I am not up set with any one except my government
I've read a lot of the comments hear and I don't see any racism to blacks, Orientals or Arab people here in Canada I have several non white friends and most of them have a nicer car, house and job then my white friends almost all the businesses where I live are owned by Chinese, Arab or Italian people, your average white person works for them.

Most white kids act, dress and live like Blacks.
The population growth rate of non white people in Canada is 6 Times higher then the growth rate of white people.

In Toronto the population is almost 50-50 whites to non whites.
Maybe a lot of you aren't looking at the facts.....
Thanks

The expression of hate is actually frustrated Love. Before one can become so empassioned as to hate a thing or person, such passion is usually of a previous affection or affinity beyond the passionate one's ability to reasonably identify such rapture with the person or thing. Simply put, hate is usually the response to a Loved person or thing that can not be controlled or lovingly manipulated as the passionate one would have so willed to do. The anger and frustrated desire to manipulate a thing which one would so love to possess and control is the manifestation of passionate emotion that we call Hate.

Apathy spawns no Hate for without concern for a thing the emotional attachment and propensity for passion is nil, nada nunca, nothing, zero, zilch. The effort put into the crafting of words that do not sufficiently make the cut to be apart of the dictionary is like the hater taking a piece of unrefined coal and a black thing as the word negro implies and when the thing that is a noun is brought to life as the word "nigger", the "er" suffix denotes the animation of noun to predicate or verb status.

The transformation of the basically harmless noun or adjective "negro" into the verb "nigger" in the mouth of the hater is the application of a tremendous amount of concentrated passion of concern versus apathy. To transform the finite piece of coal or "negro" into the high pressured diamond of forever signifies the intense passion required to turn the word "negro" into the word "nigger".

For always, or for as long as the word is used, the the utilizers of the word "nigger", born of passion, are adequately identified as being as passionate about whom the word is to refer to as the atmosphere in which it was spawned and spouted from their mouthpieces.

Such is the word "nigger" a sign of unrequitted Love, misdirected passionate affection for those whose habits of Love in abundancy are viewed by the conservatively passionate as prodigal. Those who spew that word "nigger" to be riotously inciteful are merely trying to arouse the same passion which they have for the target back towards themselves.

Users of racial slurs are that passionate to even force a reciprocal passion if they feel there is no other way to inspire passion to be directed towards them at all. That which angers you is on your mind to the point of controlling you. Such are the motivations for some of the worst addictions. Peace Be Unto multitudes of all. Everybody needs a little peace. PEACE.

Love don't love nobody. Love loves everybody. Peace to all the beautiful diverse peoples of the world. Without diversity we would not know one thing as appreciably different from the rest if all things were monotonously the same.

What is Black without Blue? What is Purple without Red? What is Green without Yellow? What is Brown without Green? What is Pink without White? What is Orange Without Yellow? What is a White canvas without the hues of paint? Blank.

Let us be mindful of the beauty of the diversity of hue-manity and not color-blind, but appreciative of the potential of humanity to be more than what it currently is, than to say what it shouldn't be. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Just as respect recognizes respect, so it is as well that beauty recognizes beauty. To recognize less than beautiful and to appreciate less than another's beauty is to be less than beautiful on the inside as well as without.

There is a time for everything, a time to ill and a time to chill. Peace begets Peace. Peace be unto you all. PEACE.

I don't think Arabs & Blacks have that much in common (though, a common mistake to think so). In fact, the contrary is the truth. The mistreatment of Arabs is just a temporary beef between two cousins... when they're done bitchin' (and soiling themselves with oil), they'll be back, all in our business like the government, hating on us as usual. To be honest, as a people, they don't like us much (and I've been to Saudi Arabia to see this myself).

P.S. Do not confuse Indians with Arabs. Arabs are not Brown people (except the mixed-race ones). Indians (at least most of them) are Brown skinned (or totally Black). I have met some nice Arab people in my time, however, so don't be hating on them.

**The expression of hate is actually frustrated Love.**

That line of thought has been concocted and imposed upon the American public for long enough in this country to become the mainstream thought process. Hate is simply a by-product of the eternal struggle between rival packs of human civilizations. What is true for animals is even more applicable to human beings despite the fact that we can "reason."

While blogs like these argue about atheists and true believers, or Jesus and his facial features, or even the true ancestral extent of "whiteness" of Anglo-Arabs; the very fabric of this country is being ripped apart. 9/11 was just such a ruse to distract the greater American public while the jews carry out their pseudo-imperialistic agenda on the rest of the world. To the average reader, this post is going to sound like more anti-semitic drivel, which is exactly what the Shilot media that has taken over this country has set up to do. That's what motivates forums like this to be polluted with "funny" posts like penis enlargement ads. Any indication of the truth is treated as heresy. But don't take my word for it:

"The Israelis control the policy in the congress and the senate."

-- Senator Fullbright, Chair of Senate Foreign Relations Committee: 10/07/1973 on CBS' "Face the Nation".

"I am aware how almost impossible it is in this country to carry out a foreign policy [in the Middle East] not approved by the Jews..... terrific control the Jews have over the news media and the barrage the Jews have built up on congressmen .... I am very much concerned over the fact that the Jewish influence here is completely dominating the scene and making it almost impossible to get congress to do anything they don't approve of. The Israeli embassy is practically dictating to the congress through influential Jewish people in the country"

-----Sec. of State John Foster Dulles quoted on p.99 of Fallen Pillars by Donald Neff

...As far as my newfound "niggerdom" is concerned, I can hit a jump-shot from 30 feet out and I look and talk like a Mexican. Not that I'm proud of it...I'll just be giving customs officials a pretty tough time at the airports. And Arabs won't be established as the new niggs until white people start wearing turbans and cavarichi parachute pants while they pray five times a day...and they have to make it on MTV while they're doing it.

Until then (or until Armageddon, whichever comes first),

Peace out.

Okay that's an exageration but there's a lot of hating coming from my muslim brothers (as in we all got the same father, Abraham...) Yeah there's too much right wing zionist influence on the government but you can't think ALL jews are down with that. That's the kind of stereotyping we're all against...

I agree with you the way you view the issue. I remember Jack London once said everything positive has a negative side; everything negative has positive side. It is also interesting to see different viewpoints & learn useful things in the discussion.
