Atlanta, Why Don't We Support LiL Scrappy?!?

Atlanta stand the fuck up!

Yo, I've been watching Lil Scrappy closely over the past couple of months and I've noticed how Atlanta has seemed to have abandoned our boi. Why aren't we doing more to support him? Though Atlanta is known for putting southern hip-hop on the map, we're also known for supporting our people like no other city on earth.

T.I. for damn sure gets his love in Atlanta. Ludacris gets it too, so why have we all seemed to have deserted Lil Scrappy? It appears that his new album is a bust, his newest video "Gangsta Gangsta" with Lil John isn't even being talked about by anybody. What's up with that?

Could his affiliation with G-Unit, or G-Unot have been the problem? Or could he have been yet another victim to the sophomore jinx? We all know Scrap from the undaground mixtape scene—so tell me why we've seemed to have left him by the curbside?

Is It Over For Indie Label BME?!?

llilscrappy.jpg
Is the relationship between BME and Warner Bros over? Word on the streets is—yes!

Could extremely poor record sales be the reason? Possibly, seeing that after 7 weeks on the charts Lil Scrappy’s album has failed to reach gold status. Its current position is # 93 on billboard. Atlanta based BME Records is owned by hot 107.9 Emporer Searcy and Lil Jon.

Lil Scrappy Flops, Ciara Tops, and The Snowman Drops!!!

The estimated sales figures have been released for last week and its too bad Lil Scrappy can’t bask in success as his newly released CD – Bred 2 Die, Born 2 Live — has completely bombed coming in at # 24 selling a meager 84,000 units sold (estimated tally, the final sales will be released later on today). While the streets were all a buzz about Scrappy’s – G-Unit association, it seems that at the end of the day nobody cared as his, Breed 2 Die, Born 2 Live, failed to garner the majority of the hip-hop communites support. Without a major single to sustain his album how did anyone expect Scrap to come in any higher? While the argument could be made that his affiliation with the “Big Bully” of the rap game – G-Unit, has turned fans off, the one thing that can’t be said is that there wasn’t enough marketing and promotion done to push this album into a top ten success. Despite the fact that many people feel that SOHH.com are G-Unit haters (which are basless accusations), if you’ve paid even the slightest bit of attention to our innovative and highly popular site, you would have noticed that Lil Scrappy was heavily promoted on this site.
