Before deciding to write my report on Young Jeezy’s dismal album release concert that took place last night in Downtown Atlanta, I truly wrestled with my journalistic integrity and my inability to fake the funk. Sometimes journalists will try to put a positive spin on a story to keep an artist from any possible embarrassing moments. This practice is often used to keep them in the artist’s good graces. Though I aspire to keep my opinions neutral, I often fail as I feel that it is my duty to keep it real as I can with each and every one of you. With that being said, I have to tell you that to call Young Jeezy’s promotional concert a disappointment would be a major understatement.

The estimated sales figures have been released for last week and its too bad Lil Scrappy can’t bask in success as his newly released CD – Bred 2 Die, Born 2 Live — has completely bombed coming in at # 24 selling a meager 84,000 units sold (estimated tally, the final sales will be released later on today). While the streets were all a buzz about Scrappy’s – G-Unit association, it seems that at the end of the day nobody cared as his, Breed 2 Die, Born 2 Live, failed to garner the majority of the hip-hop communites support. Without a major single to sustain his album how did anyone expect Scrap to come in any higher? While the argument could be made that his affiliation with the “Big Bully” of the rap game – G-Unit, has turned fans off, the one thing that can’t be said is that there wasn’t enough marketing and promotion done to push this album into a top ten success. Despite the fact that many people feel that SOHH.com are G-Unit haters (which are basless accusations), if you’ve paid even the slightest bit of attention to our innovative and highly popular site, you would have noticed that Lil Scrappy was heavily promoted on this site.

Is hip-hop dead? A lot of people seem to think so, including myself. Young Jeezy got into a heated argument with NY DJ Monie Love over the current state of hip-hop in a recent interview. At first their banter was very tongue in cheek when Monie inquired about Jeezy's opinion regarding Lil Wayne’s recent comments about Jay-Z claiming that hip-hop was dead.

But when Young Jeezy proceeded to give a standardized response, that’s when the discussion turned ugly. The end result had Young Jeezy suddenly storming out of the studio. Check it out! YOUNG JEEZY GETTING FRUSTRATED

Speaking of Frustrated....

I know a lot of y’all are pissed about the comments being disabled, but you got to remember that sohh.com is trying to step up the competition and make our shit pop with excitement. Just bare with us, we will get it together, aight?

What it is fam? Damn y'all a touchy bunch of kats aren't you? The response from yesterday's post was mixed but, still very over whelming. I make no apologies for what I say. I speak the truth, and my point in that entire article, which most of you missed, was that Outkast needs to cut the bullshit and just do their own solo thing, and stop LYING to us like they are still reppin things together.
