they often bypass the opportunity in the name of "street credibility".

It's nothing wrong with keeping in touch with some people who held you down before you became successful but at what cost? All this "running back to the hood with my boyz bullshit proving you down 4 the streetz" is counterproductive to their success.
The realest gangsters are trying to live the big life they feel they were always denied.
