3 6 Mafia was on the radio up here (Friday) and many people up here was putting them on full blast. They were wilding but I really thought some people were over-reacting to them.

Anyway, with record sales high, oscars , etc. The south is in the spotlight and rappers like TI and Ludacris don't appeal 2 people because of where they're from, they JUST REPRESENT and that's what black folks can appreciate.

We can debate him being "the king of the south" but this weekend TI might surprise people by becoming "the king of the box office."

Is that T.I. on those skates? I predict this movie will make between 10-15 mil this weekend. Depending on the competition and I don't know any other movie that's opening this weekend. And don't underestimate the power of 14 year old girls that are willing to pay $10 just to look at T.I.P Harris for 90 minutes on the big screen. Don't sleep this movie might do good. Hell I'm grown and I kind of want to see it.

Well i'm not interested in watching this movie because most rappers are known to be bad actors. Luda, Mos Def, Ice Cube and probably Ice T are good actors. But then you have Master P, Ja Rule, Dame Dash, 50 cent, ect. who are horrible actors. I might watch the bootleg though.

Well it might do ok in the box office because I don't think anything else is coming out. That will be the only reason.

Say what you want about P being a horrible actor but "I Got the Hook Up" and "Bout It" are definitely classics.

Of course, hot spots are differnt everywhere you go but there is ALWAYS a skating rink somewhere close in or near our major cities and towns.

Now, I 'm not saying jokers r leaving the block 2 go skate but on any given Saturday or Sunday (mainly for kids birthday parties) a variety of people comeout and skate with their families.

Last year some time, I was at a family birthday party and saw Rah Digga (with a really long curly weave and a white &black faux fur coat on) at the rink with her daughter (they were attending a different party).

Saw the movie tonite! I went to the screening in ATL, it is actually a very good movie. Good acting, good script, good story. Very good all around. And the girl that was the leading lady who played opposite TI was an exceptionally good actress. And TI did his thing too! Happy to say that I am not at all disappointed. Everyone came out to represent: Dallas Austin, Kim Porter, Serena Williams, Jazzy Pha,Big Boi, Killer Mike, Jody Breeze, Bobby Valentino, Young Jeezy, Meagan Goode, it was the Who's Who of Atlanta.

The soundsystem was terrible at the afterparty, it sounded like hot shit on a platter.

But all in all, thumbs up!

Another shitty movie in which the soundtrack is more hyped than the movie itself. When are people going to learn, if there is to be a truly classic hood movie, the genre first has to lose its tendencies to overhype the soundtrack. It's a MOVIE not an album...this is part of the reason why alot of hood movies get no respect. Think of this...Using real actors (some rappers can act, most cant) instead of whatever half ass rapper is hot at the time (nothin but love for TIP). This has never really been done in any hood movie, aside from Menace II Society which is by far the best hood movie mad thus far. To sum it all up...Use real actors, Quit hyping the soundtrack more than the movie (for once try using a hood movie soundtrack that uses other music than hip hop and see the results...for example Lorenze Tate's Dead Presidents) and for God's sake if its gonna be a hood movie that is a realistic and gritty drama the shit GOTS to be rated R...consider the knoweledge dropped.

People gotta feel me on this one...I see cats talkin about this movie sayin "TI this and TI that"...this aint TI in the movie...its Clifford Harris. When people realize that he's acting not rapping they wont be mentioning the fact that hes on roller skates so hes not gangster.
