whocares: Well if you don't care, then why ask?

I posted on that white guy's blog twice now and he didn't post any real voices on the blog, so I called him out. I wrote - NonMos: If you don't post this message to its entirety, I will go to the other posts and bring it to the non-singular voices on the other blogs, which will make more people think you're a joke, instead of a serious artist. I know you think you can create a buzz this way, but if you won't let the people make up their own opinions about you, you're only fooling yourself. If you want to create buzz, make your blog open to every single person who wants to post and prove the haters wrong. By the way, I have copied and will post this message after waiting a few minutes for you make up your mind. Prove you're worth the rep of having: "Upscale clientele', great happy hour (2 for 1 top shelf), friendly waitresses, good music, live late night salsa on Fridays, and reggae on Thursday's mixes it up." - He never posted it, so I thought, let's have an open discussion in any of the other blogs (Posted once in every blog, so I everyone get's the chance to say something).

Reason why there are no black inventors.

1. Too many blacks want to be athletes, models, actors and actresses, rappers, singers, pimps, pornstars, gangsters, etc. But nobody wants to become an inventor.

2. Good Reson why White America thrives us to be high paid entertainers, so we can put on a show for them. It's called supressing the potential. it does not take much to put a ball in a basket, pr run or catch the ball for a touchdown, that's why the spots of Quaterback go to white people because we do not want to be multitask, or rap a hook, or memorize some lines in a movie, but it takes massive brain power to create an invention and creativety. As long as we are entertainers and sterotypes that the media so wellinly places us as, we will forever be the race that just could not cut the cake

gully son: Should that mean that the success of several black people seen in the media aren't deserved? I don't think one has to be an inventor to be a success. Denzel is wealthy and successful, but he didn't invent a new, separate style of acting, he just uses his own method. He also stars in films sometimes produced and/or directed by white people. Should we hate on a brother because of that? But I agree with you. It's our culture that tells us to want the flashiest success possible.

How, you are missing the point. This is not about hating or downing anyone. I am glad that we as black people have succeeded and did not decide to do illegal things anymore or not to ever go to that level. What I'm saying is that we need more idealists, inventors just like the slave years. We need more scientists, engineers, doctors, lawyers, those positions determine the way of our life. Entertainers come and go, but professions saty until death.

gully: Oh, my bad. I see what your saying. I agree. Though, I believe that right now, there are many professionals working in many industries, who are black and have attained success in the workplace, but we rarely see this because our culture negates these role models contributions. Basically, we don't show the same praise for the work black professionals contribute, as much as what we give to the "Street Hustlers" that the corporations support and promote.

Do you know all the inventions that are staple to our society today that were created by a black man? Refrigerator, stop light, mostly all hair gooming products, ect. i'm not about to get into all that, get ya facts straight.

Who did you mean "get ya facts straight" for? neither gully, nor myself have forgotten the contributions that black people have given to our society. Ty, read the other posts and you will see that.
