First of all Laffy Taffy? I havent heard the song but with a name like that why would i want to? As for houston, they are starting to suck. I have the mixtapes and I really like Chamillionaire, Paul Wall, Slim Thug, Killa Kyleon, and Magno. However since the hit commericial they suck. Fight songs, trap rap and guest appearance trends have transformed the "industry" into a university of talent less, idiotic speds. Ying yang's whisper and all of the aforementioned songs above are the textbooks of our culture now. And It’s sad. Atlanta is home to vast amounts of untapped talent but the atmosphere of the music itself has to change before this talent can emerge. Lyrical combatants like 4Tray, Al Biggs and killa Bounk are all deacons in the southern salvation movement. But there is one mc that transcends urban testimonials in a Godly fashion. There is a mc in Atlanta that will change music as we know it. I've heard that he's a premonition, rarely seen at all. No one knows him. How to reach him. But he is here and his name is Dameon The Omen.

I was born in NY and moved to Texas. I've been down here 10 yrs and everytime I argue with my homies which is better south or east? Im from the West too man and yea the West did die with 2 pac, but not completely. To me the East got the best music too. Not trying to degrade the South, but most of it sucks. The crunk sound is ok but its getting old and played out now.

Crunk is definately not played out. You will hear a lot more from Crunk artist. The North is not bringing anything hot, and neither is the West Coast. The South has been blazing on the scene for the past two years now. I think everyone is mad because the only people who can make real crunk music is the people in the South. Yeah, all you need is a catchy hook and a simple beat, but no one can replicate the Southern Sound right now. Regardless of how many times the same beat is used, the fans love it and the DJs do too. Yeah, it seems crazy, but you have to think of these dudes as smart- They try one song, and everyone likes it so they keep putting out similar sounds, and they keep generating that paper.

I definately agree with y'all on making real music. But like I said, you have to look at it from several angles. Who defines what real music is? Music is a reflection of life, so when these dudes come out with "Do Your Dance on that Hoe," it reflects their lives and people relate. That doesn't mean they are less talented. A lot of it seems so simple, but sometimes simplicity is the hardest thing to master. Yes, I am fully aware of the Underground scene. In fact, I know that the Underground scene is really hott right now. In music there is a certain respect that artists have for each other whether it is on the radio or not. Hate it or love it, Crunk is another genre just like Country or Pop. I think most people are aware that crunk didn't emerge from Atlanta, but crunk definately got its spotlight in the A.
