Corporate Sponsorships Creeping Into Music

So the game has evolved into having an artist write a brand name into a song, feature the brand in a music video... then partner with the brand in other promotions, all the while getting paid by the brand's owner.

I guess it's fitting for Lil' Mo to advertise for some bumpy face gin right, I just couldn't see her doing anything that was minutely politically correct. I love it though. I like a woman with a little ghetto in her. Speaking of Ms. Mo, she'll be in concert next month and maybe we can sit down over some gin and juice and politic, we'll see.

And for everybody who was wondering where Goodie Mob's T-Mo has been, now we know. My man's been working the system like Don King. I hope he holds the goodie tradition in high esteem.

I commend the business minded artist, infact we should support these ventures. It will eventually come a time when the Corporate machine itself turn a few shades darker. What you see now is the process of making art a marketable product...inturn manufacturing artists to sell or represent a product/s, but it has it's benefits. Artist these days are makig millions easy...but making more millions for an entity that in some ways control them. When the artist owns both aspects of the product it's a good thing.
