"New Jack City 2" Review, Jus Nice Takes Meetings With Record Labels [Video] + Tiny Begs Tip To Break Her Off [Video]!

In case you didn't know Bow Wow's new album dropped Tuesday, March 31. I listened to the album last week, but I couldn't offer up an opinion because I'm biased. Thankfully enough for you guys, Reviewstacks.com sent me over their review on Shad's new album "New Jack City 2". Check it out below.

The thing about getting older is that you get away with less and less. When I was five I could get away with murder. The combination of chubby cheeks, a hearty laugh and cute smile would probably be good enough for me to walk into a bank, ask a teller for a motorcycle loan and get it in cash. Sidebar: if somehow a baby with way above-average intelligence ever realizes any of this - we're all doomed.

That being said, as we age the reason we lose that ability is because we learn right from wrong and begin to understand codes of behavior. In short, we mature. Maturation is clearly not in Bow Wow's repertoire, as illustrated so plainly though his latest release New Jack City II (So So Def).

The release is the epitome of white noise. As a 13-year-old kid, Bow Wow put out the shockingly entertaining Beware of Dog album followed up a year later with certified double platinum release Doggy Bag. The novelty and relative skill of a pre-pubescent rapper with cornrows and swag in era before 'swag' had a title was a huge draw. Middle school girls were going ape-shit over the MTV-fueled Ohio-bred Mini-Me emcee. FYI - I'm totally fine with someone using that in a verse.

But the novelty of a kid whose junk hasn't dropped having more money than dot-com startups circa 1999 and owning more luxury vehicles than a dealership, despite the fact that he wasn't old enough to drive any of them stopped as soon as he dropped Wanted in 2005. His second double platinum record, Bow Wow crossed over into the realm of adult music with tracks like Let Me Hold You and Like You and in doing so catapulted himself into the league of grown-up artists. What do grown-up artists do? They mature.

Bow Wow has not.

Rapping about money, women, swag and cars on every freaking track, his lyrical content is more bland than English food. His flow is average and the production on the album is so damn light and sugary I felt like I needed insulin after listening to it. Pop through-and-through, New Jack City II is a made-for-radio album that will probably drive a single or two through the radio for six weeks then be tossed in the garbage along with Terminate on Sight and Deeper Than Rap. Bow Wow's relevance as an artist has diminished to the point where the only publicity he's getting is from YouTube videos of him bitching at his manager or whatever for waking him up on his tour bus and for getting bitched at by Wendy Williams for rudely cancelling an interview with her.

I can see why the Bow has casted a musical net as wide as he has (ahem, someone queue Desperado), but the fact of the matter is he hasn't cast his net deep enough to garner actual interest in anything past the face value of the album. The music is shallow, the lyrics are kiddie pool deep and the guest appearance-ridden, synth-riddled sound that carries the release is so 2000 and late. Sorry Bow, quit the game or grow up. [Source]

With no hate in my keystrokes, I got to admit that this review was ON POINT.

But Let's Move On...

Jus Nice had a meeting with DTP recently to talk business. The SC/VA MC is easily one of my favorite new artists.

His music is fun, his skills are impressive and he's just an overall good dude. But another reason why I fux with Jus Nice is because he goes hard with music AND his studies. Which is VERY rare in today's time. Check out the video.

Camers from Tips reality show "Road To Redemption" aired a couple of days ago. And I was dying laughing when Tiny and Tip rolled through that damn Justin's. DAMN YOU SOLOMON.

Anyway, watch the clip of Tiny begging for Tip to break her off a lil summin summin. Hilarious.

Talk to y'all lata,

It's a wrap for Bow Weezy...He had a nice run and really should be proud of himself, honestly. But's he needs to go away for his own sake... If artist weren't drugged out on stardom and being in the spotlight, he wouldn't have a problem.. But Bow Wow is still a kid mentally and physically lmao!! That new single that he got out is a disappointment, and I say that cause they took the sample from one "TLC's" songs, and ain't do that shit no justice...Plus, Bow Wow been around JD so long that he even raps like him and even ad libs like him with all the "Uh-Huh, and yeah's with the fack chuckles in the raps"...Nigga, that's all JD's style...I'm tired of manufactured rappers...Especially the ones that the record execs go get cause they are not hood at all and feel that they can put more restraints and more of a control on them..
Case in Point: Sohh, is advertising The King of All Cornballs on this very page...Fucking MIMS....BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH....U CAN'T BE SERIOUS...I mean I know y'all gettin paid for that, but come on now..MIMS has a single out but it's not hot..And if he can't even produce a single to match the hype "This Is Why I'm Hot" which was a dick riding song, and NYC don't even repsect dude, then his career is a wrap as well..And he is just a fucking cornball...I'll be surprised if this dude sold 20k out the gate.

DEATH TO ALL RINGTONE,AUTOTUNE, PRE-PACKAGED RAPPERS!!! THEY ARE CLOGGING UP THE GAME AND MAKING IT LOOK BAD FOR HIP-HOP!

^^^ Co-sign on the MIMS ads. I come here and look up and there's a plug for MIMS' album that I wasn't checking at all for, didn't care about, wasn't interested in. MIMS is the ABSOLUTE (like vodka) LAST RAPPER who should be getting any plugs anywhere after single-handedly destroying any trace of respect NYC hip-hop had in the game. In other words, that clown made it harder for the Jadakiss, the Papoose (although I think his shit was more being with Kayslay), and any respectable artists that could've had a good year and brung back the age of the lyrical talent. MIMS is a tool.... Straight up and down. He dropped 2 bubble-gum, South biting, Bow Wow sounding songs, and then tries to comeback like he gets it in lyrically. Negro, please.

never bought a bow wow album, never listened to one in its entirety i feel it just sounds like Nick Jr or something or maybe because im 30! anyhoo that DAMN song he got on there with Nelly and Ron Browz is my SHIT! it could be just the beat, but DARN it ill take it!

LMAOOOO!!!!!!! W/CLO-FRESH...CO-SIGN THAT MIMS STATMENT HOMIE 100000000000%...AND I'M FROM NYC..BROWNSVILLE STAND UP!
