** Update** Hold Up! Lil Wayne Sues Mixtape DJ's Including DJ Drama???? [Video] Plus, Dope Record Alert: Young Dre - Workin [Audio]

There's an old saying that you should NEVER bite the hands that feed you. But why does that never apply to the music industry? Lil Wayne is arguably the biggest act in hip-hop at the moment. So why is he now suing all the people that helped him get there.

I was surfing the web today and I saw a video that was posted regarding Wayne's Mixtape brush off. Watch the video.

While disloyalty is nothing new in this industry, the fact that Wayne would allow DJ Drama and the Apphilates name to be added to this lawsuit is the most disrespectful action EVER. At least to me.

In the suit BCD Music Group, BCD Music, d/b/a Deep Distribution, World Wide, Deep Distribution, World-Wide Inc., Tyree C Simmons, Cinque Productions, Inc., Apphiliates Music Group, Makin Moves Entertainment, And Frank Nino are all being sued by Cash Money.

But wait, didn't Wayne publicly exclude Drama from his DJ Mixtape beef?

Doesn't sound like exclusion to me. It sounds f*cked up!!!!

I think Wayne is about to lose a lot of fans over this ish. And with two more albums dropping this year - this is NOT a good look.

How you gonna sue DJ Drama - Really WAYNE!!! REALLY??

That would be like Asher Roth suing Gyant for posting an unreleased track on SOHH.com

Am I overreacting?

Update:

I tried to get Drama to talk to me on camera, but he wouldn't. He did however send me over the following statement:

The accusations against me are misplaced.

This is not a case of Lil Wayne vs DJ Drama.  Me and Wayne are good.

I am confident that this matter will be resolved quickly without harming the relationships between myself, Wayne and Cash Money Records.

However, due to the ongoing nature of this litigation I do not wish to make any further comments.
Um...OK. Well I guess I can't really go in on Wayne if the person he's suing refuses to do so publicly.

Oh And Before I Forget...

There's a new artist on the scene. His name is Young Dre and he's got a new banga.

In an era where "keeping it real" has turned into an idealized concept of pop culture it has become extremely difficult to distinguish the real from the fake. However even the most skeptical critic can't deny "THE TRUTH."

Young Dre, or Drizzle as he is referred to by those close to him, first began honing his prolific rhyme skills while still in grade school. After winning a poetry contest Young Dre began to develop an appreciation for the impact that the delivery of strategically placed words could have on people. This experience served as the catalyst for the Seattle-born, South-Central raised rapper's motivation to begin penning rhymes that would be an accurate reflection of his real life experience as opposed to commercial propaganda. He speaks what he lives. As each lyric is laid, even the most casual ear will be drawn to the uniquely skillful flow that Young Dre delivers.

Whether the tempo is fast, slow, grimy or non-existent his unparalleled talent allows him the versatility to manipulate the track to create true music that invokes thought and conversation. His uncensored biographical commentaries are arguably his greatest assets. A careful listen to his lyrics reveal installments into a life of evolving turmoil, triumph and determination. Violence is not glorified as sport; rather the narratives reflect the reality of the means necessary for his survival. His honesty is painfully refreshing.

DJ Drama even said that him and Wayne are cool, that he's not the one filing lawsuits...I don't know what to believe to be honest...

And that track by Young Drizzle is old as fuck..It's one of the rotating songs on John Madden's 2009 football. It's pretty alright.

Man please FANS(mostly young broads) aint gonna give a shyt about this nor stop buying his albums, get down or get ran over! Yo punk azz would be trying to sue if somebody stole your shyt(we both know this is extremely unlikely!LOL) too!

Why is every rapper named Young or Lil? WTF? Must be from the south.......

that song is on the madden sountrack and is approaching being a year old!

STEP YOUR GAME UP!

Sueing a mixtape DJ is like betraying Hip-Hop.

(Neo) Soul Searching

I hope dis aint wayne doin dis shit, drama jus tryna eat like everybody else, so he sold dem dedication mixtapes. Dem mixtapes is da reason wayne went platinum n a week. BTW....dat "lil" shit came from uptop. LIL kim LIL cease LIL bow wow, dat young shit came from down bottom, jeezy, joc, yung la....

The WARNING shot was "I don't like mixtape Dj's...I don't respect Mixtape Dj's.(You played the audio in the beginning) That shoulda told yo dumb ass to stop right there. You are lookin at it as 1 nigga eatin off a mixtape ... overlook it. ... but it's thousands of niggas makin mixtapes and making profit from his craft! It's really not that crazy...what you're doing is illegal.... YOU DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO DISTRIBUTE HIS ART.... SO GET SUED.

everybody who got madden been knew about this song since last summer nigga

Wayne must not have all the money he claims he's got. Diddy needs to bring them shirts back out cause this is bitchassness all day. Plus
nigga at the end of the video killed that shit. "When wayne fart you can smell cum" Damn.
Wayne is way overrated anyway. He just (or at least he tried) bit jays style and delivered it different

The guy "Young Dre" aka Drizzle is a fag, he used to date white girls hang with the son of the Seattle Police chief and now he is a gangsta. Braids, chucks and a mean stare seems to be all you need to be hard. This cat was a sucka @ Garfield Highs school in the Central District of Seattle. He might have had some boys in Cali but I thought he lived in the North end of Seattle. He sure as hell wasn't walking to school from the hood, yep you guested it he was part of the bus program that brought "oreos" to the inner city. This was an opportunity to integrate Garfield and let the white kid take advantage of the top programs that we in place.

If you can spit, then just do and you will get notice off of your skills alone but done drum up some gimick and think that people won't remember it is to easy to get a hold of the truth.

Do your research, Garfield Highschool during the years 90-93 and you will see a kid with a fade dressed like the Fresh Prince.

I see you "Drizzle" LOL

Not a smart move for Weezy. Wasn't he even SPEAKING on some of these mixtapes?

Wayne's overexposure is finally starting to come to a peak. He might possibly have finally come to the end of his rope. Nothing's for certain yet tho but it could definitely happen at this rate.

Uhmmmm..... This is directly related to this recession that we are in. It is Illegal to sell those albums in stores and all, we don't really know who is doing it. The fact of the matter is though this has been going on for a while, this lawsuit wouldn't exist if labels weren't making money. Wayne is still a follower this lawsuit has Universal written all over it to me, definitely influenced by them, I wouldn't be suprised if he didn't see all his money off of the Carter 3 and was told by Universal that money had to be used to cover damage done by these mixtapes being in stores.

Universal Music is a corrupted organization. They leaks music on purpose and then press the artist and the fans for it.
