Atlanta - A once-in-a-lifetime exploration to the Amazon Rainforest with the Frank Ski Kids Foundation, Foundation's founder Frank Ski, Atlanta scientists, Al George, Head of Education Georgia Aquarium and James Ballance, Bird Curator Zoo Atlanta as well as videographers from the National Geographic/Discovery channel.

What: This year, The Frank Ski Kids Foundation, in part with Legacy Communities, and keeping in line with its mission statement, "Exposing Kids to Their Future through Science, Technology, Athletics and the Arts," took ten talented Atlanta area youth deep into the Amazon Rainforest.

Why: A group of prize-winning students from Atlanta venture deep into the Amazon rainforest to learn the true cost of consumer goods. Exploring the impact of deforestation and development on one of the most bio-diverse ecosystems on the planet, the excursions goal was to instill in the students a passion to protect Earth's great natural resources.
