It's that time again people.
Since 2004, all of the Almost Famous installments have served as the backdrop for exceptionally talented artist of tomorrow to unveil their work to those intrigued by future stars. "Almost Famous is definitely the spot to go to when you're looking for new fresh talent and there have been quite a few artists who have surfaced like B.o.B and there are a lot more on the way," says industry insider and Super Producer DJ Toomp. Toomp has also served as a judge and special guest at previous shows. It was also at Almost Famous that Super Producer Rodney Jerkins first saw Rock City, the rap duo signed to Konvict/Interscope, perform. Rock City's manager and Universal Motown Records A&R, Ray Daniels says "Almost Famous is the Apollo of the South."
In addition to stellar performances, the networking at Almost Famous includes special guest judges who offer their favorite artists avenues for exposure. TJ'sDJ's, Digiwaxx, Ozone Magazine, Gritsandeggs.com, Streettalk Marketing, Mixvision and Gyant of sohh.com and New Media Services, who insists "Almost Famous changes the definition of Unsigned Hype," are a few of the sponsors who've assisted the participating emerging artists with their promotional efforts.
The 2009 Spring Edition of Almost Famous will be co-hosted by Kenny Hamilton of 95.5 the beat and Haziq Ali, the CEO of Organized Rhyme. The doors open at 8PM and the show will begin at 9PM.
