This Just In: Police Searching For R&B Singer On The Run In ATL For Identity Theft!

This just in..

You may not remember his face, but most of us, who are age appropriate, remembers R&B group Soul For Real. And today, it seems that a member from the once popular singing group is on the run.




According to WSBTV, the police is looking for Brian Dalyrimple in connection with an identity fraud case. Apparently, Brian is involved in a case of identity theft that involves more than 200 victims.

Here's what WSBTV is saying:

Police said Dalyrimple is on the run. Duluth police have already arrested a woman, Laborah Crawford, in connection with the identity theft case. She is being held in the Gwinnett County Jail.

The Police is still looking for Dalyrimple, who is allegedly on the run with his 10-month-old son. Back in the '90s, Dalyrimple was a fresh face on the music scene as part of the R&B group, Soul For Real. The group had a hit song, "Candy Rain."

Police said they are looking for him."One of our detectives is working on it, she's our white-collar crime specialist and she has identified 145 victims within our jurisdiction, several of them businesses, and an additional 115 victims in other jurisdictions, so you're looking at over 260 victims right now," said Maj. Don Woodruff with the Duluth Police Department.The victims, according to police, are now out of more than $1 million collectively as the result of identity theft and financial fraud.

Crawford is in jail on charges related to the crimes. Dalyrimple was also involved, according to police."He was the biological father and the child was turned over to the grandmother in custody and then he went to the day care, picked him up and left with him," said Woodruff.

Police would not say anything more about how they believe the two were able to get the money and personal information of others. Police said the investigation began with a call from across the country."There was a victim in California also who contacted us. (They) noticed that a lot of charges had been made here in Duluth on their accounts and what not and we looked further into it," said Woodruff.

Police said they do not have reason to believe that Dalyrimple's son is in danger. [Source]

I had heard that Soul For Real was working on a new album that was supposed to come out last year. Damn, you know it's bad when entertainers are robbing folks.

Let's hope homie turns himself in soon. Especially since he's got child with him.

Damn shame..Candy Rain was the shit when it came out though...Yo, a lot of old and past entertainers fall on hard times..More then ya'll know..
Ya'll remember the chick from the group "Soul 2 Soul"??? Well she died by running from a supermarker in the UK cause she was caught stealing..The chick ran into oncoming traffic and got hit by 1 car which ended in her getting hit by 2 other cars..When police arrived on the scene, they found food scattered all over the fucking highway....That was 1 of the saddest stories that I have ever heard about a past entertainer....And the had a monster hit...It's the same song that opended up the movie "Belly" in the very beggining when they robbed the club, "However Do You Want It"...

@clo-fresh. Yo, when did this happen?? I think you need to check your resources because last i checked the girl, Caron Wheeler btw, is a huge star in th UK. I'm not sure that is true but if its not thats kinda messed up to start something like that.

His facts are right Caron Wheeler was not the only female singer with Soul II Soul. Doreen Waddell (ca. 1966 - 1 March, 2002) was a singer who worked with Soul II Soul and The KLF.

She was killed on 1 March, 2002 in Brighton when being chased from a store where she had been shoplifting; she ran onto the A27, where she was hit by three vehicles, dying instantly.[1]
