Kris Kross Update, Guys Still Sitting On KK Money + Health Update!

Blog Update: SOHH Atlanta got a personal update from a source directly connected with the former members of Kris Kross. Check it out below.
I was surfing the web earlier today and came across these pictures of one half of Kris Kross. I warn you now..it's not pretty. Bow Wow better look at these pics very closely.





I wish people could see a method to my madness. Here's an update from people close to Chris:

A business associate of KK talked to Chris the other day, and they are doing very well. The reason Chris's hair looks like that is because he has a hair/skin condition that makes his hair grow in patches (he usually wears it shaved). They are both doing very well.

Side note - love your articles man. Without ego, I work on some pretty heavy stuff in the music business, yet I still find time for my SOHH addiction.
You got to love the blogs for the immediacy it'll give you. I guess what I have below is moot so let me scratch it out.

I personally refuse to believe that this is Chris from the popular kid duo of the 90's.  Have times really gotten this hard? Clearly this dude is chillin' in the Piedmont Park in Downtown Atlanta. You can see the Grady High School stadium in the background.

Yo, someone please reach out to me and get me this dude's contact. I want an interview to find out what's really going on. Where did it all go wrong. I mean this kat has patches of hair missing. Jesus. [Blogger update/ Um..why doesn't he just rock a bald head?]

Can't Jermaine look out for his peoples? I mean K.K. did play a part in him becoming the mogul he is today, didn't they?

Bow Wow better invest his money because if I ever find a photo in the realm of this of Shad  Moss I'm gonna pounce on you.

Kriss Kross were not out in the 80's, first album dropped in 92. and they are still currently working for JD. you don't ever get ya shit right do you? maybe you should try utilizing wikipedia sometimes....

The dark-skinned from KK has a serious condition, i'm not sure if it is related to cancer, but him being sick and losing his hair is really old news. Gyant, you should be shamed of yourself...Don't try to act like you ain't know this....

1. Kris Kross was launched back in 1992 under Ruffhouse/Columbia Records where J.D. was just an A&R at the time. They never was on So So Def. JD found and discover them and after Columbia gave JD his So So Def imprint, he either wasn't allowed to move their contract over or elected not to pick them up, and they were dropped shortly before or after their 2nd album.

2. The dude has alopecia, or some other kind of hair disorder where his hair falls out and grows back at a degenerative kinda pace, which would explain how his hair looks like that. When they did they 2nd album, that's why he was bald instead of having long braids like Chris Smith (the other half of the group).

3. Kris Kross got JD in good enough standings with Columbia for them to allow him to start So So Def, but Da Brat and Xscape are who made him the mogul he is today through their funk-influenced production and samples which were made by JD. Back when he did Kris Kross album, he was following the Michael Bivins-style of producing by having funny sounding, quirky noises in beats and using kiddie samples (Jackson 5 for "Jump"). The whole reason for Bow Wow even getting a career was becuz he saw how Columbia profitted from Kris Kross, but he only made a small percentage becuz he was just an A&R.

4. I doubt JD still has Kris Kross on payroll since he's been to 2 different labels since then.

Love how yall are pullin moron cards and still getn info wrong. KK had at least 3 albums and there wouldn't be a so so def without them blowing him up. think about how much money he got for producing all their albums, shit, just their first even? point blank period they started his career. sure he's a natural hitmaker who has crafted hundreds of hits for countless artists since, but kk were a crossover smash that brought him a lot of money and attention and were the momentum for him to start a superstar label and be a-list in hip hop

And I can believe that he is still sitting on KK money... They didn't exasperate all of their scrilla on an fabricated and illustrious lifestyle that they couldn't maintain...They were the very few in the game that was not perpretrating. And if he put his money in a trust, then he is still eating and will continue to eat off of that...They sold multi millions and I even rocked my jeans backwards on 1 occasion back in the day...Just keeping real..
