Someone Pass The Memo To Radio One That Nobody Cares About The Dirty Awards!

Tonight is the 4th Annual Dirty Awards hosted by David Banner and am I the only wondering why Radio One insists on keeping this lackluster award show going? Let's all be honest for a moment; who in the hell is looking forward to the Dirty Awards? The first year Radio One decided to launch this award show that dedicates an ceremony honoring the movers and shakers of the South, it was a great idea.

Dirty Awards 2004 had every big name in the game in the building, but every year since then the yearly event has become more and more lame.

Last year I attended for the first time and after noticing the acts that were secured for the annual affair were lame, I decided it best to not waste my time and energy on this bullsh*t ever again. I beleive last year S*ulaja B*y and Plies were the biggest acts. But seeing as though I live here in Atlanta those names don't entice a brutha to do much for a blog.

And when I found out that Radio One, due to budget cuts, decided to handle the Public Relations internally this year, I already knew I wasn't going.

I tried to pull up the line up for this years festivities but of course the website is a mess. I couldn't pull up anything. [Go To Site Here]

I couldn't find any nominee, performer, or presenting information on the site. Which leads to beleive that there weren't many to list so they just decided to omit the information.

Radio One still hosts some fly ass events though. I mean their "Birthday Bash" is always stellar. I'm just wondering when they're going to get the memo that nobody cares about the Dirty Awards.

Talk to y'all lata,

You on a roll today...spewing that hate like venom..first Tyra now the Dirty Awards...I just find it funny you callin' artist/award shows lame cause the whole entertainment industry knows Gyant of Sohh.com fame is the coolest cat around. LOL!!!

David Banner is an southern artist who spends lots of time in the A, plus he got something to say. Why don't you speak on him hosting the show instead of hating, you always trying to make yourself look cool instead of telling folks about the A.

If you think it's going to be lame then it's probably going to be off the hook..

This coming from the same "blogger" who's always "pole-jockin" (lol) Asher Roth day in and day out. So who's next to "blow" Gayant? B.O.B.?

I FEEL ya! I went to the Durty Awards last year and realized that I could find most of the acts in Greenbriar or S. Dekalb mall on any given Saturday! The Durty Awards is designed for artists, media (for Pictures only), and FANS. It's not for djs or anybody that's not getting money directly with the artists. Birthday bash is GREAT because they bring in national acts. While I won't be at the Durty Awards, I will DEFINITELY be at the after parties! lol

i saw this homo ass dude over the weekend at atlantic station with a top hat on and a leather, DOLO AS USUAL WITH NO FRIENDS, this dude was waiting for like 10 years for a drink cuz he is a NOBODY..loooooooool and then he just dipsetted cuz he got no service and probably remembered he was broke, yeah you know who I am you seent me lame @$$ dweeb.

The only award that should be given to any southern rapper is "WHO RUINED HIP-HOP THE MOST OF THE YEAR" award. FUCK THE SOUTH.

From the looks of it, and the sound of it, the Dirty Awards were quite notable this year. I can't say that some of the Dirty South's brightest stars having brawls qualifies as civilized behavior, but it does make for newsworthiness.

So that makes YOU out of a LIE.
