Bow Wow & Soulja Boy; To Hell W/ Both Of You! You Don't Deserve Fame!

Over the years I've probably blogged about Bow Wow and Soulja Boy the most.
I used to look at these two as role models [some what], but after yet another shameless week these two are showing no respect for their fans nor themselves.
Soulja Boy is making the media rounds over a disrespectful interview he had with BET Correspondent, Toure.
Check out what he had to say:
Last week in Atlanta, I got to interview Soulja Boy Tell Em. I found out just how young he really is. He was one of about ten rappers I interviewed in one day for my BET show, The Black Carpet. I decided it'd be fun to give all the rappers part of the Proust questionnaire. I thought it'd be a way to get beyond image and into who they really are. Most of the guys gave good, thoughtful, intelligent, sensitive answers. I asked Juelz Santana, "How would you like to die?" He said, "Loved."
Then came Soulja Boy Tell Em. I asked him, "What historical figure do you most hate?" He was stumped. I said, "Others have said Hitler, bin Laden, the slave masters..." He said, "Oh wait! Hold up! Shout out to the slave masters! Without them we'd still be in Africa."
My jaw, at this point, was on the ground."We wouldn't be here," he continued, having no idea how far in it he'd stepped, "to get this ice and tattoos."
Wow. Never mind that diamonds come from Africa. Never mind that there were many generations of pain in between leaving Africa and getting diamonds. Never mind that the long-term cataclysmic effects of subtracting about tens of millions of young, strong people from Africa over the course of a couple of centuries is a large part of the reason why Africa now appears so distasteful to you. Never mind all that, Soulja Boy. You put country first. [Source]
I'm floored by his comments, but we aren't done just yet.
As many of you know I have been inquiring about the supposed 100k that he put up for a silly video game competition between himself and West Coast rapper, The Game.
Game kicked Bow's virtual ass in the well publicized competition, and even threw fellow entertainer, Ciara under the misogynistic bus. Both parties publicly agreed to hand over all proceeds to charity, yet to this day neither rapper[s] have offered up any verifiable charity information as to where the cash went.And it looks like now Soulja Boy is getting in on the action because he just publicly challenged one-hit wonder, Sammie.
It's a shame how today's celebrities don't respect the power they have. There's an old saying, that "with great power comes great responsibility," but it's abundantly clear that today's young, urban celebrities don't utilize their voices to uplift and inspire. All they want is a check.
With all that the world is going through right now, it's time for us as a people to start holding today's entertainers to better moral code. And how is the best way to do it? By hitting them where it hurts -- their wallets.
With the exception of any unfortunate news that breaks regarding Bow Wow and Soulja Boy, I will no longer waste my time addressing any of their high-octane antics. Like a grown man who may see today's young people and shake their head at how they choose to represent themsleves, thats how I will look at Bow Wow and Soulja Boy.Both of them don't deserve fame.

How can u say bow wow dont deserve fame cos he blanked u on the red carpet. You disrespect the guy every month and u expect him to talk to you. Gyant, you need to eat a dick & stop hating. If you are really a grown man, then why are you making it seem like this is a real issue that needs to be addressed. I can understand for Soulja Boi on blast for the dumb shit he said. But you are going way to far. These are still very young men. And Soulja Boy is still in his teens & probably didn't graduate from HS. I'm not sure, so don't quote me on his education, but regardless the point is...Why you hatin. Yeah, I have heard of that old saying, but that saying was for people in power. These are entertainers and we don't have to hold them responsible for anything other than to entertain us fool! Canecelling tours and not properly re-scheduling them or giving the $$$ back. Gyant, I use to respect you, but am starting to see all of the things you blog about kind of 1 sided. You really need to stop holding these ENTERTAINERS as they are equal to a MLK Jr, Malcom X, Tupac Shakur, or Barack Obama!!! Get ya shit together....
Gyant Says: Soulja Boy is 18 [he's actually older, but let's play along] and Bow Wow is in his twenties. Look if these two were regular kids I'd have no argument. But to a lot of young people Soulja Bow and Bow Wow are their idols. Kids look up to them..that makes their situation unique to any "regular" kid. And I'm sorry, but "their just being young" argument simply doesn't work. It's because they are young that they should represent themselves appropriately.
Ok so they dont represent themselves appropriately, right. You say let them be kids and get off them. OK so what happens when that 10-15 year old sees what Soulja Boy does and then decides to do it.
Who's fault is that? Oh let me guess its all the parents fault? Even though we all know that there's little parental guidance in the world.
I personally feel that since I am 29 that I have a responsiblity to young people to represent myself right. AND IM NOT EVEN A CELEBRITY!!!!
It is important to hold people accountable for their actions. It was wrong for Game to call Ciara a hoe and bet her sucking off all his boys if he won the battle against Bow. And it was wrong for Bow Wow to entertain his disrespectful response and reply via video and through that ish online.
We have to start holding people accountable for their actions. young old..but ESPECIALLY Hip-Hop!!!!!!!!!!!! Look at where we are in life. Look at this kids of today. Are you honestly going to not blame the Soulja Boys and The Bow Wow's of the world for not acting more responsibly??
And as far as treating today celebrities like they are Malcom Z and Martine Luther King, I wouldn't go that far.
But unfortuantely today's kids vaule the SB's and the B.W.'s of the world so we have to change what we do.

Ok I can understand the Soulja Boy Part, but he is as you just said YOUNG! But for real the Bow Wow part you just sound like a hater. I started reading this thinking Damn what did he (Bow) say or do now, he had been doing so good, just to find out what really was happening was that you were pissed off and whining about being DISMISSED. You are kinda hatin a lil on this one. They are young and still have plenty of room to grow and learn but there are positive things about these young men. They could be doing a whole lot worse like runnin the streets wreckin shop but they have careers.
