SOHH Gyant Randomness: Usher Raymond & Janet Jackson Needs To Read This Blog! + SOHH Atlanta Music Mix Honors Rich Harrison

Usher: Usher looks to be on the right path somewhat. He's no longer with his former manager Benny Medina and has gone back to momma, Jonetta Patton. He's also pushing Tameka Foster into the background. I hear they are separating. And though that information may be horrible for Usher's personal life, it will do wonders for his struggling career. And I hear that Usher is hard at work on a new album.
But Ush hasn't even won half the battle. The top selling male artist needs to document his entire recording process and compile them into short videos for blogs and the internet.
Usher's current situation is the perfect story for him to reconnect with his fans. The video's will serve as a way for Usher to control his own media. He can do rumor control, document the process all of his aforementioned album and even package it with the new CD, which will give the project another layer of sales appeal.
I also feel, and I know that some of you will disagree, that Usher is need of some positive press. After swooning the ladies for SOHH many years, what's the next thing that the pop star can do that will have everyone talking, and will also allow him to reach out to a new demographic with a large amount of disposable income? The Gays.
Put away your personal feelings for a moment people we're talking business.
If Ush decided to execute an unannounced club performance at a popular Gay club somewhere in the world, everyone would be talking about it. The Gays would love [and even better] embrace him which would ensure more CD sales for that next album. Top gay publication, The Advocate would want him on the cover. And just like that Ush would have a more broader audience for CD selling time.
As long as he steers away from "Make Love In This Club", "You Got It Bad" he's good. OH, and "Trading Places" he's good. LOL!
And Let's Move On To Janet....
Janet has a core fan base and if she would focus on them - and only them- she'd continue to make an astronomical amount of money. Could you imagine if Janet was in Vegas. Hell, I've never been to the Sin City, but I would if I knew that Janet was going to be catering to me, and to her hits then I'd be right there.
Thats probably one of the biggest reasons, post "nipplegate" that Janet and her people have f*cked up on. None of her last three albums were made with her "core fan base" in mind. All three albums seemed to have been made for the kids. Which turned off a lot of her older fans.
But, if Janet is dead set on hitting the recording booth again on her own terms, then here's somethings she can do that will ensure a warmer response the next time around.
1. New Media: There's only a small handfull of people who really don't need new media. Jay-Z & Beyonce are the only two in Urban music that comes to mind that doesn't really need to fux with the blogs just yet. But Janet isn't one of those people - not anymore. Janet needs to start up a Janet Blog with an unlimited amount of content.
The blog should consist of exclusive videos of her life post the "Superbowl". Janet also should team up with a top blogger *ahem* that she would allow into her world and give exclusive blogs on an array of subject matters for tem to post. Concreteloop, Necole Bitchie, Perez Hilton, Gyant, anyone could do it.
[I have more ideas in store, but I really don't feel like typing it all out].
2. Do not disappear after the tour: We all know that Janet usually disappears once her project is over, but I suggest that she keep at it. No break, no relaxing. Get back in the studio, get the body in top shape [more then its ever been] and let muthafu*cka's know that you're not playing.
These are just a couple of free ideas that I thought I'd offer up to the struggling stars out there.
Not all bloggers are all about hatin' on folks. I try to offer up solutions in my posts, even when I'm hatin'.
Usher, Janet, if y'all need some new media consulting holla at me.

First of all. Everything you wrote about janet is absolute B.S...She doesn't need any new media. the media is the reason she is having problems. She needs to stay as far away from the media as possible. All those people do is twist and manipulate anything she does or says. In the hope of bringing her down. the edia has always had a strange obsession and bias against the Jackson family.
Her team needs to think of new, more creative ways to reach out to her real fans. Maybe, she can try Spending more time trying to connect wirh them on youtube and myspace and or facebook. That idea you wrote about doing a video of her recording sessions and or video shoots can work for her, or just give her fans some kind of weekly update on what she is upto or whatever and posting it on the before mention sites can be a start. Make the fans feel more connected to her and her life. She needs to focus more on her talent and building that up, and spend less time focusing on her body. We all know she is a attractive girl, who has started many trends over the years. we also know she is a very sexual person. But is that all she is about? what happened to the janet of rythm nation who had world issues on her mind. or the janet of the control era who was about impowering women to be independant. All this sexual imagery needs to stop and she needs to focus on more various subjects. maybe do some material and let the fans hear samples of what she is working on as she works. then letting them vote on which songs she should use. that way the fans feel like they are more apart of the project.i think thats why american idol and dancing with the stars and shows like that are so popular. the public feels like they are apart of the project. they have control over what they want to hear or see instead of having some record executive telling them what they should like. through expensive marketing campaigns. she needs to make better music videos. and work with people who know how to evolve her sound. she made a big mistake dropping Jimmy and Terry. maybe she needs to work with timbaland or someone along those lines. she also needs to stay as far away from jermaine dupri in the studio as possible. some couples just shouldn't work together.
I don't know if what you wrote about janet is true, maybe it will work maybe it won't. However, since gat rumors have been swirling around usher since he moved on from puberty and since he is constantly laughed at for having a wife that closely resembles a man with good weave, I find it not beneficial your insight and suggestions for his career.Thanks for reading
who the hell are you tobe giving out advice to people that a=have been doing this most of their lives. Go get an album, then talk. And FYI, Janet did quite a bit og bolgging on her website right around the time Discipline came out.
