Over
the weekend I decided to get a new tattoo. I haven't gotten one in over
ten years, and I had been hearing about this hip-hop tattoo artist in
Atlanta who is in a class all his own. I decided to do a blog about my
tat experience. It was one of the most painful experiences of my
entire life. But I guess it's the only way to earn your ink.
E.J., of E.J. Ink, invited me out to his private- plush tattoo studio
that's located exactly 25 mins outside of Atlanta, to come and
experience how good his work really is. A graduate of the Art
Institute Of Pennsylvania, EJ has been a visual designer since as
far as back as he can remember.
His way with the pencil is comparable to the way T.I. is with the microphone.
I thought that I would go for something completely unique by creating a
new tattoo that paid homage to one of my most favorite MC's of all
time, LL Cool J & the love of my job - blogging. Why I
thought I'd be in and out in matter of a few hours is beyond me. My new
tattoo starts at the tip of my shoulder and runs all the way down to my
fist. The whole ordeal ended up taking 8.5 hours.
That's right, I endured an enormous amount of pain for as long as most of you go to work.
You know I got some video for you. Check it out below.
E.J. has a degrees in computer animation, has been featured in Urban Ink
magazine and is currently working on a big tattoo project for Gorilla
Zoe.
No matter what you're tat desires are, EJ can hook it
up. He's got a well detailed portofolio with pre-existing designs for
you to pick from. And he can draw his ass off, so if there's something
that you want but don't see, he'll hook that up for you with no problem.
And
for all my celebrities out there who is looking for a private place
where you can get your designs without having to worry about being
bothered by anyone in the process, EJ has a private studio that is by
appointment only.
Check out some of the pics from my tat just moments after it was finished.

Go Hard or Go Home, babe!
If it looks like it hurts it's because it does!

E.J. and Gyant
Like I said before, E.J. is only 25 minutes outside the city of
Atlanta. To find out more on him and his work, check out his myspace
page here.
And for all my industry connects and celebs that I'm cool with if you want his contact information hit me up.
Shoutout to Yancey Richardson for the connect. And in even BIGGER shout out to E.J. for an outstanding job.
Talk to y'all lata,
