With all the parties that happened over the past couple of days you know everyone is waiting to see who's going to get crowned as the King of the BET weekend. And while the verdict is still out on that one, I know who was the king of the brunches. At least according to Gyant. Check it out below.


Sunday morning Ludacris, Bobby Valentino and Sean Garrett all held private brunches in celebration of of BET's monstrous Hip-Hop award show weekend. Luda and DTP honored BET's Stephen Hill with an intimate brunch at his Asian-inspired resturant STRAITS.

The other King of the south presented Stephen with a plaque celebrating all the work that Stephen does, and has done for BET. Check out the pictures.

As you can see it was a pretty laid back event. Just good food and great people brunching it out.



Ludacris seems to still be somewhat perturbed by me. He remained distance pretty much the entire weekend. I don't think he likes bloggers. Or maybe it was just a bad weekend.
 


Chaka Zulu had on the illest pair of boots. For those of you don't know I'm all about shoes and hats.

A little atmosphere from the venue.
After this event I hot tailed it over to Bobby Valentino's brunch that was held at Artistry. Bobby and his crew came out to celebrate his new record label, Blu Kolla Dreams.

When I first heard about brunch at the Artistry I didn't know what to think. Anyone who's been the venue can probably understand why hesitation to attend. But I couldn't have been more wrong because the food was RIDICULOUS.

Macorini & Cheese, Fried Chicken, Omelletes made to order, an open bar, shrimp grits, pancakes made fresh to order and a killer dessert bar. Bobby knew what he was doing.

I'm telling you, you got to get out to Artistry and try out the brunch. Amazing!



G.Mack is always trying to mack on the ladies.
But it's Sean Garret's private brunch affair that got my vote as the King of the BET Brunches. The successful songwriter turned aspiring solo artist put a touch of class into his event that was held at the ultra chic Ellis Hotel in downtown Atlanta.
V103's Frank Ski, Melyssa Ford, Angel Lola Luv, Bobby Patterson, Dorian and Ashely from College Hill, Ed Lover, Keyshia Cole's manager, Manny, Bangladesh, Kenion Johnson, Nina Brown, DJ Infamous and whole lot more all came out to show luv.

The food and atmosphere was perfect as everyone came out to celebrate all of Sean Garrett's accomplishments.

Cherry, Sheree and Miss Sophia. I heard Sheree rolled up this event in a Malibu sedan. I didn't see it, but thats what people were whispering about when she got there. I could care less.

You know how may run into people who you see all the time and you always speak to them, but you never know their names? Well that always happens with me. I see the lil dude [not the boy that's Nina's son] standing next to Nina all the time, but I never can remember his name. I don't know why I want to call him Storm.

Same thing goes for the chick in the pink. She's as nice as she could be. She always greets me with a genuine smile, but I swear - I have no idea who she is.

So let's just all focus on Nina Brown's beautiful smile.

Update: One of my Twitter friends, NDiiBaBii just told me that "Storms" name is Laidback Black.



Shout out to Jamal King for making this event fly as hell. Though he befriends the angry lesbian with no soul, he does know how to throw a party.
