I got something new for SOHH Atlanta. "Fashion, Shawty" will be a feature for all my Atlanta hip-hop fashinonista's out there. I told you all that I was going to check in with styling & branding extraordinarie, E. "Born" Edmonds. Check it out below.
Earlier this week I told you about a new up and comer in the ATL who goes by the name of Born. Born is a hip-hop branding/styling consultant who I had the pleasure of meeting at this years BET Style Suite.
Born is on a fast track course to carve a name for himself amongst an
extremely completive yet necessary industry of styling and branding.
His newly formed company, Precise Product Placement is all about
merging the right fashion choices with right urban artist.
For those of you who may not be aware, today's artists and entertainers
are constantly getting bombarded with various products from fortune 500
companies who hope that stars will be photographed wearing their
clothes, high-end sunglasses, footwear, etc. With hip-hop dominating
radio, television, the internet, fashion and everything else in between
Born's company focuses on not only styling today's most popular
entertainers with unique and exclusive fashion selections, but he also
facilitates potential endorsement deals and more branding opportunities
for his clients.
Edmond's has worked with hip-hop heads like Rich Boy, Soldier Boy, The Roots, Chaka Zulu, Lil Wayne, David Banner, DJ Drama, Erykah Badu and many more.
So being the the blogger that I am, who strives to bring you as much
original content then any other blog site on the internet [FYI], you
know I had to go interview him, right?
While I've never been into Fashion all that much [and that's because when I was growing up in the 90's the clothes that were made for taller people were always ugly],
Born ended up educating me on a lot of new trends and labels that have
dope designs, and that also cater to the taller people of the world. There a NYC based urban company called Schmack clothing that specializes in creating trendy hip-hop influenced fashions for people of all sizes. Check them out here.
Born was nice enough to take time out of his busy day to walk me
through some of the fall "must haves." Plus, he also offered a few urban
fashion tips for us fashionably challenged.
Check out the video below.
There's so many people on their grind in the "A" that it's good to break up the monotony of talking about rappers all the time.

If you're in the urban fashion industry and are in the Atlanta area and want to be on SOHH Atlanta's newest feature, Fashion, Shawty! Hit me up and let's make it happen.
Oh And Before I Forget.....
DTP members Luda & Willy Northpole snagged the cover of popular automobile publication, Dub magazine. I'm SOHH ready for both of these guys newest albums.
Talk to y'all lata.
