Akon's Got Some Nerve...What A Way To Treat Your Fans That Are Losing Everything!

Akon is making waves with a new track off his upcoming album, Freedom. But the minute I saw the title of the song, I knew I wouldn't like it. And this time I got some peeps who are agreeing with me.
Doesn't it make you all warm, and fuzzy inside knowing that the Senegal pop sensation stays paid? His new song, inappropriately titled "I'm So Paid," has leaked on the internet.
The song teams Akon with the most overly saturated rapper, next to T-Pain and Lil Wayne.

I listened to the track, and can't help but ask myself "WTF!". Rich people can be so damn insensitive. In a time where the Dow Jones is losing more points then... [this is where being a sports wiz would've been helpful]....well you get the point.
People are on the verge of losing EVERYTHING. Their homes, their life savings, all that people have worked for is about to be gone, and this dumb n*cca has the NERVE to drop a record telling everybody how much money he's got and how he's ballin out of control.
This isn't a personal attack against the man, because I barely know him. This is plea for all my entertainers to be sensitive to what your fans are going through.
And I wanted to make sure that I wasn't alone.

This is one of the biggest reasons why the industry is the way it is. Instead of creating music for the people. And let's be clear most -- if not all-- entertainers do not make the music for the people....they make music in hopes of 'getting that money.'
You want the people, who basically have nothing, to go out and support your music and concerts and you can't even step back for a minute to look at the world? Are you kidding me?
This is why I'm not one to go out and purchase anything for today's stars. I bought T.I.'s album over the weekend even though I was already given a free one from the label. But other then him I have only purchased two other CD's this year. I figure if they don't keep me as a consumer in mind when they make their albums, then I can't keep them in mind when the bullsh*t gets put on the shelf.
I have every bit of confidence that this tracks is already dead in the water. It's gonna go nowhere.
Let's hope it sends a message to the industry that they had better become more aware with their direct consumers concerns, or close up shop now.
