In a time when nobody, with the exception of Lil' Wayne, is selling records, Atanta's own, Young Jeezy killed it on Billboard this week. And even though I'm still bitter [I'm sure everybody knows why], I got to give the homie his props. Check below for all the details.

Hitsdailydouble.com is reporting the following:

Recession, what recession? As far as Young Jeezy's concerned, The Recession is the name of his chart-topping Def Jam/IDJ album.

The Atlanta-based rapper's third album, and first since 2006's The Inspiration, debuts at #1 on the HITS sales rundown this week, with a total of 253k. [Source]

While 253k is nothing to scoff at, I don't know why I thought it would be higher. There were reports going around that he did that in just one day. But you know how people like to inflate sh*t.

But anyway, it's a really good look for Jeezy's third solo CD. I haven't purchased the project, nor did I ever get that listening session I was promised, but what did you think?

Is the album worth it? Keep it real!

Talk to y'all lata,

let it go, just let it go...you're sounding like a woman scorned right now...

No one is selling records except Wayne...but Jeezy killed? Didn't The Game do like 240 the previous week? The bias.....

SMH SAID THE SAME SHIT I SAID LAST WEEK THE NIGGAS ON DIS SITE B HATEN ON THE NIGGA GAME, IT COOL THOUGH I FUCK WIT SOHH HEAVY

it ain't no where near thug motivation but it's solid

i downloaded this garbage and erased it 10 minutes later, fucking boooooooooooooooring

I tried to listen with an open mind, because he sounded like he wanted to get political with it -- but --- I am just not impressed.

If you want empty messages with no teeth and plenty of room to shake your ass, you'll like it.

If you need real substance, you'll be disappointed.

THE ALBUM WAS PRETTY GOOD...ONLY THING THAT I THINK THAT KILLED MY EXCITEMENT WAS THAT I FELT LIKE THEY LEAKED TOO MANY SONGS AND THEY WAS AVERAGE COMPARED TO PREVIOUS STUFF THAT WAS DONE..AND THEN THE REMIX WIT JIGGA WASNT EVEN ON THERE....BUT I PRAY TO GOD THAT HE RELEASE THE "EVERYTHING " WIT ANYTHONY HAMILTON AND LIL BOOSIE ON IT AS A SINGLE..CAUSE IM NOT REALLY FEELING THAT "VACATION"....

umm.

didnt the game do 230k when he came out?
if it werent for a recount done be soundscan he would have debuted at #1.

ice cube did numbers for an independent album.

i think the sponsor is that bitch mod sentenza.

I'm probably one of the biggest Jeezy fans out there, but as I have said before I am a critic of music before a fan anyday. It's gonna be hard for any rapper to beat the classic Thug Motivation, so of course "The Recession" is not better then Lets Get It, but it's better then his sophmore release. I'm going to keep it 100, I was hyped into buying his albumn, but was just a little disappointed. All in all i'm satisfied but the big homie's mixtape that was dropped like 2 months before the albumn was a fucking banger and it was only like 30 mins long. Waiting on TI to drop his albumn so we can see who will have the better albumn...Will it be Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, or TI????

That album was the typical commercial album of today...nothing new, just empty raps about nothing. I thought he might get into something related to the recession other than 2bars throughtout the whole album but was dissappointed. Oh well...I only paid $5 anyway for the bootleg. Don't get me wrong, most of the beats are bangin...but Jeezy aint talking bout nothing!

No he made you inbrace it..you was the one bitching about how he dissed you and yo camara guy..I never doubted jeezy selling.I mean...me personally I'm not into his music but I still think he is cool
