For some reason I hate the fact that everyone says it's T-Pain's voice that everyone is taking, but T-Pain got it from the guy in 2Pac's California Love song. Anyways, the VMAs suck & refuse to watch it again. It's kind of sad when you could say the BET awards are better than MTVs. BET shows more music videos then MTV or VH1. But I'm not gonna hate, I do watch some of the reality shows on MTV though.

The VMA's this year was more political than anything else. "Britney's comeback?" After a year or more of nothing but fuck ups and tabloid spectacles, she walks away with more awards than artists who have been putting in their work? MTV used this award show to build artists that have been born and bred to make money for MTV. Anyone flip to VH1 anytime that night? Notice how even VH1 (under Viacom w/ MTV) had canceled programs to push the MTV awards? MTV is looking to make money in this saggy economy, even if they have to fake an award show.

Gyant I couldn't agree more. I usually don't agree with alot of the things you say, but yeah the awards were whack as hell. I didn't watch anyone's performance. Rihanna is okay, but she is barely a better singer than Ciarra or Janet. She sings off pitch alot, she just sexy as hell. The real singers don't have albums out right now so we are forced to listen to Ri Ri and Ashanti, and Solange.

I caught a little bit of the performances while switching back and forth between that and the Colts game. But yeah, that VMA's have gotten so lame over the past 5 years. The last VMA's that I can honestly say was worth watching was the 2002 VMA's where Diddy, Busta, Pharrell, and Usher did their performance on "Pass the Courvasier" Since then, the VMA's has been going down the drain. Luckily my fiance was watching the entire show in her room and was telling me when all "ya know" the black performers where going to be performing. Saw Waynes performance, it was average. Kanye's was average. But I liked TI's performance the best cause RiRi was looking fucking spectacular. Jaime Foxx won't lying when he said Chris Brown a lucky dude cause she fucking killed that all black biker outfit "OMG"!!! Beyonce you surely got some competition girl. Hey, I think Ciara is a better singer than RiRi too, but ya'll stop hating so much, ain't like RiRi can't sing. Ya'll act like she sound awful, but then will damn sure bump and sing along to her songs thats getting all the airplay. But all in all. The VMA's are corny as shit now. The BET awards are the thing to watch now. And the VMA's are taking notice. And the funniest joke of the night goes too, "Drum Roll please".....Jaime Foxx for saying "What up TI, I see you got that bail money"!!! Dat nigga still funny!

Awards were FIXED (not that i really care) but Brit won 3 awards and I have yet to see this "Video of the Year" or hear the song. Good way to try and boost her career MTV, it may have worked.

This award was really horrible this year. Everything looked horrible even the set looked cheap. I knew it was going to be bad from the horrible start.

Wayne was horrible, dude grabbed himself 31 times! And I do not want to see his ass fallin out of his pants. I haven't watched the VMA's in a long time, and I wish i didn't watch it last night. Kanye was alright, t.i. was nothing new, t-wayne sucked ass. Leona sounded good. RiRi performances was good, but her voice wasn't that great. I don't understand how wayne did so good this year, or at all. He looked like a retard on stage. Hip-hop is really dying. Some ol school Rakim would be great right about now.

im not into the awards too much.... but i just needed to point this out... cause everyone seems to be missing one key thing... from SOHH Gyant to the people replying.. you say MTV dont really play videos anymore....but thats just 1 station.. MTV has multiple other music channels... MTVJ, MTVH, MTVU, etc... and these are "non-stop" music video channels...

so before you start speaking about something.. make sure all avenues are covered.. now let me get back to watchin music videos on MTVJ....

I just want to say I'm not a huge fan of pop music but I'm glad to see brittney trying to get her life back on track....I'm happy for her really..And as for jordan sparks..I don't know why I dislike her so much...You telling me that out of all the talented people that stood out in the hot and cold for days to audition for american idol she was the best??She is a fat miss piggy looking bitch and it really pisses me off when I think about people like jenifer hudson who are way more talented than her....And lol at the lil jonas brothers wearing promise rings saying the vow to wait until marriage to have sex...You running around singing all these loves songs to these lil white girl whores and got them jumping all over you but you waiting until marriage...They'll be fucking on each other in a minute...

Gyant, you da biggest hater on da internet but anyway, Rihanna IS startin to transform into a pop artist now, and I aint even see it but I'm TIP and Kanye did aight, you can tell who really love by how they perform, and for the at da first commenter, Kanye was singin on his first album back in '04(before T-Pain came out)and who in here heard Pain rap before you heard him sing? I have never considered him a rapper, I dont care what his album was called.

Didn't watch the show and apparently didn't miss anything. Rihanna is a cutie, but her singing(sigh..)is a whole different matter.
