Polowdadon

Super Producer Polow Da Don  is doing his thing big time. While he's busier than ever in the studio recording for a lot of today's hottest artists, it seems that he's also into writing hit jingles for commercials. The Zone Four representer is causing so much noise that even the Wall Street Journal is paying attention.

Polow Da Don has mastered the new sound of pop music.  Through his influence, Polow's mark on the music industry has achieved new heights amid the major endorsement with Wrigley's chewing gum.  By fusing his heavily 80's inspired mid-tempo tracks with his bass heavy dance tracks, Polow has dominated the Billboard Charts for the past two years with a string of hits from some of the industry's top-selling artists including Fergie, Pussycat Dolls, Ciara, Kelly Rowland, Usher and most recently pop sensation Chris Brown.

According to The Wall Street Journal "Forever," written by Chris Brown was originally recorded as an extended version of a new Doublemint jingle that began airing this month in 30-second spots for Wrigley's green-packaged chewing gum.  Mr. Brown is one of a trio of pop stars enlisted by ad agency Translation Advertising, a unit of Interpublic Group of Cos., to update the images of three of Wrigley's best-known brands.

The campaign includes spots featuring R&B singer Ne-Yo doing his own take on Big Red's "kiss a little longer" jingle.  Mr. Brown was commissioned to write and sing both the pop song and a new version of the Doublemint jingle, introduced in 1960.  First, Brown updated the jingle and recorded it with Polow. Then, during the same Los Angeles recording sessions in February, paid for by Wrigley, Brown added new lyrics and made a 4 ½ -minute rendition of the tune.   After Brown's record label, Jive, released the song to radio stations and digital download services as a single in April, the song took off and ended up peaking at #2 on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart as of last week.

Immediately following the success of  "Forever," it was added to Brown's Exclusive re-release in June.  Through his production and creativity, Polow is taking music to new heights by being the first breakout producer to do something major like this for Wrigley's Jr. Co.

This is only the beginning of the new, exciting, and groundbreaking movements that are sure to come from Polow Da Don and Zone 4, Inc.

Currently Polow is putting the final touches on pop's newest "it girl," Keri Hilson's debut album In a Perfect World… set to release October 7th under a joint venture with Zone 4, Inc. & acclaimed producer Timbaland's, Mosley Music Group.

Polow, who is also a major contributor to his local Atlanta community is working on continuing to build his brand and can also be found working on future projects with his Zone 4, Inc. roster: Rich Boy, i15, YV and producers Hitboy and Chase.

Good job, sir!

Oh And Before I Forget.....

Mikameans

I got to shoutout Atlanta rapper/singer/songwriter Mika Means. Homegirl has just achieved a career milestone: a multi-layer solo deal with Universal/Motown Records, which will see the label investing in Mika as an artist and brand. Meka Means A&R rep Ray Daniels set the deal up and it seems like she's about to be on her way. A&R as well as manager of the up and coming Rock City, Ray Daniels assisted in getting Meka her new found deal.

Camouflage Management's Christopher "Cam" Martin and Firm Life Entertainment's Jason "Jak" Brooks have joined forces to launch a multifaceted promotional campaign that will lay the foundation for Mika's forthcoming solo debut.

Mika, who is apart of the trio "The Girls Club" who's members include Danity Kane's D. Woods and Shanell AKA SNL, will be celebrating her success at Pure Night Club tonight. Come out to show luv.

But I had to take the time to celebrate two Atlanta stars that are doing it MAJOR!

Talk to y'all lata,

This negro just came up with a new term. lol "a multilayer solo deal" That is NOT a business term. No such thing exists. smh. Yes, I see other blogs using the term too. But it's not even spelled right (try multi-layer) so we know it's not real.

It simply means that since she wont sell any records (you know she won't) the label is going to get a cut of her concert money, wet t-shirt contest money, ho on the stroll money etc. (ie: they are going to tax her ass)

1. Visited her myspace page. *horrible*

2. She has a song called "I just wanna spend your money" *tired*

3. She also uses a T-Pain vocalizer. *ugh*

4. If D. Woods can't get any money on her own, how she gonna get some with this lady in tow?

5. Her breasts are so sleepy they are falling out of her shirt/dress/hoochie outfit.

6. Polo hasn't mastered shit. He sounds like everybody else. *played out*

So, when do we get to hear about the genuine artists in Atlanta? 'Cause there are more than a few of them.

Gyant what do you know about Zone 4 artist Dan Talevski? Dan is pretty popular on Youtube under DanJT87. I saw his name on the artist roster for Zone 4 on Wikipedia. Dan sounds like a white Chris Brown. He could be big in the pop market.

Polow da don....one of the most overated "producers" in the game right now.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayum!! That's my favorite pic of Polow Da Don...that nigga sexy as HELL right there...

Gyant...you know you like it too ;-)

A white Chris Brown? Heavy on YouTube? Dag... word to TheSponsor this site has just become nothing more than a promotional tool it seems like.
