The Carter 3 is a solid album, but it wasn't worth the hype surrounding it just for the fact that there were tracks the should've been cut off from the the final product ( Jay-z's Blueprint 2 suffered the same problem back in the day).This should've been Wayne's inception into legendary status in hip-hop, but now we'll have to wait til he puts out another album before he finally makes that leap (which may take forever knowing Wayne). I'll say that artists have got to realize that it's okay to have shorter albums. It's hard to think of any classic albums (outside of Biggie's Life After Death & Pun's 1st album) that lasted for more than an hour, so just cut off the b/s & try to limit albums to be an hour long at the most.
