Last night I attended Jermaine Dupri’s Studio 72 Grand Opening (Part Two). And while the idea of attending yet another club opening, especially one I had already been to before, seemed almost too much to bare. But I decided to schlep it all the way to Tucker â€" and boy am I happy I did.
Listen, most of you all know I’m a blunt blogger. I say what I feel and I hold no punches, and this event is no different. We had Usher, Maneka, Janet & Jermaine, as well as horses and goats oh my! Read my report on Studio 72 below.

This weekend it’s going down in the A as Ludacris and a bevy of his celebrity friends are coming together to celebrate his annual holiday extravaganza.
I got the who, what, where, and when for you guys. Check it out below.

This is the second single off DTP’s compilation CD “Strength In Numbersâ€, but it really should have been the first. When I first heard “Celebrity Chick†I’m not even going to front â€" I thought it was hot.
However, it definitely grew old in my Ipod after a week. And it looks like the powers that B over at Disturbing Tha Peace got the memo â€" because they have dropped "Duffle Bag Boy" with Lil' Wayne. Check it out below!

Look who’s trying to get grown on us by channeling his inner Lil Wayne, or at least trying to â€" Lil Bow Weezie. Many of us still look at the pint sized rapper as nothing more then a sub-par pop star who caters more to teeny boppers then grown folks. But Bow Wow is attempting to shed the young crowd and prove to us that he’s not a kid anymore with two newly released tracks. There’s just one problem…..

Yung Joc’s new album hit stores today so you know what that means â€" It’s time for another album release party. I got all the information for the Joc fans to come out and celebrate with the popular star.

Happy Monday everyone! Today kicks off “SOHH Atlanta’s Own,†the weekly talent showcase featuring today’s hottest unsigned artists.
The response was overwhelming and I am happy to see so many talented people. I have decided to expand the genres slightly to reflect a more dynamic audience. In this weekly showcase I have decided to allow hip-hop, R&B and Neo Soul. There are a lot of gifted people out there and I am glad to give them their moment to shine.
So without further ado let’s get into it....
Last night Screamfest 2007 touched down in Atlanta and I’m sure it’s no surprise that I attended the star studded concert. True to form, I have my rundown on what was good, what was bad and what the hell 50 Cent was doing there?
I was just kidding with that last part, but read my rundown from last nights festivities.

Thank God it’s Friday! Don’t forget that Monday AM I will kick off the SOHH Atlanta showcase. I just wanted to give all my musicians one last chance to get your submissions in.

It’s always only a matter of time before albums leak. And Yung Joc is no exception. His new album, Hustlenomic, is all over the Internet. I would put the tracks but I have learned my lessons with that.

I’m dumbfounded as to why CTE decided to release “White Girls†as USDA’s leading track from their ‘Cold Summer’ album. They have some serious cuts that could have serious made a much bigger impact. Check out there new video “CTE Till The Deathâ€

I found some picture of Buckey from "Flavor Of Love" posing for King Magazine. I have met Buckeye a few times out and about in Atlanta. She's actually very pretty, and her body is most def banging. Check out some more pictures of her below.

Atlanta rapper, Killer Mike talks "Stop Snitching" on his radio show about the taboo topic of 'Snitchin'. As many of you know the topic always leaves many on opposite sides of the fence. Listen to his opinion below.

I know we have A LOT of 50 Cent fans who read the blogs â€" so I know I’m probably going to be alone on my opinion of this song. But I wasn’t a fan of “I Get Moneyâ€â€¦.that is until now.
Ludacris decided to hop on the track for the remix shutting down all the haters who claim the southern representative has gone Hollywood. He may be going â€" but he hasn’t gone just yet. Check out the hot track below.
Last week I attended NEW ERA’s new store opening here in Atlanta. Hats are one of the most important accent pieces to make your outfit hot. Disturbing Tha Peace was in the building to help set the bar for the excitement of the highly anticipated and much needed retail store.
Check out the event below.

Listen, I have been telling you all for weeks that Michael Vick was guilty and was going down. I have talked to many people who are close to the football star. As well as people who are close to the NFL Administration.
Well the official word coming down the ranks is that Michael Vick will plead guilty in the in his federal dog fighting case during a court hearing next Monday, his attorney said today.

So you got the puppies rant. Now it's time for the Big Dawg to respond.
For the record -- there isn't any beef (at least on my end). I'm just a lone blogger with an opinion. At the end of the day I could really give two sh*ts about Bow "Damn" Wow. But I still got to respond to em....

Happy Monday everybody! Last Friday I mentioned that I had an explosive video to post regarding one of today’s most mildly popular entertainers. Well today’s the day to reveal who it is. The “rapper†in question is none other then Bow Wow himself.
That Official Chick, and Soulman caught up with the pint sized "rapper" at his record label in NYC. They were there to discuss his new project with Omarion titiled,"Face Off", but suddenly the interviewed turned towards me.

A bloggers job is truly never done! Here I was watching a movie when I got an email on my blackberry about a big event happening here in Atlanta in the next couple of weeks (more on that later).
The event is showcasing an independent artists by the name of Vawn aka Mr. HolyHood. And that’s when it hit me; it’s time to bring back “SoHH Atlanta’s Ownâ€.
It was just annouced that Coach K and Young Jeezy have apparently kissed and made up (no homo) and are now back together. If you can recall Jeezy and K parted ways earlier this year, but neither party would say why.

Y’all know I grind it out for you and when I can't, I’ll find someone that will. Here’s some video of the Ozone Awards. I didn’t get a chance to go this year, but y’all know if I had â€" I would have gotten some tight to deaf video. But thank God my I’ve got people who grind it out in the spirit of blogging.
Check out some exclusive video of Polow Da Don, Rich Boy, Lloyd, Lil Wayne, Plies, T-Pain, and Shop Boyz.

Forbes Magazine just released the top movers and shakers in Hip-Hop. This is an exciting step forward for hip-hop because this is their first time every compiling such a list. Everyone pretends to be balling, but now we’re going to see who actually is.
The break down is below…

Yesterday it was Jagged Edge, and today it's Jermaine Dupri. A couple of weeks ago I denounced a rumor that was started by another popular gossip hip-hop columnist regarding Bow Wow and J.D.( Story Here).
Well I finally got a chance to catch up with the music mogul to get his side regarding the rumor. Listen to what he had to say.
Last night I had the opportunity to get an exclusive first listen to Jagged Edge's new album 'Baby Making Project'. Now, before you start to roll your eyes and think to yourself 'who cares', you'd be really surprised to know that the album is actually quite good - outstanding even.
I know this is usually SOHH Soulman's thing, but since they were here in Atlanta, I figured I would go and get the scoop for you guys. And I even got a chance to sit down with the hit making legend himself â€" Jermaine Dupri.
Watch the video below.

Well we cant say we didn't see this coming. The Atlanta Journal Constitution is reporting that Michael Vick's legal team are negotiating with the prosecution that will result in prison time.

The leader of DTP is keeping the show moving. I just got the word that Ludacris, along with BA Seattle SuperSonics forward Damien Wilkins have teamed up to host a free concert to uplift and bring the community together.
The Ludacris & Friends, Strength in Numbers Concert will be hosted by Wilkins and Ludacris and will focus on the positive development of the community.

It seems that everybody has something to say regarding the southern hip-hop movement. And now, we can add Mobb Deep’s Havoc to the list. In a recent interview he bashes everything from Atlanta to T.I.
Read up on what this fool had to say.

It's amazing at how fast they can get videos completed. Back in the day it would take months after shooting, but now - you can them finished in days. Soulja Boy's new video of "Crank That (Soulja Boy) is out. They just shot this b*tch like two weeks ago here in the A. I was going to go down to the video shoot and get some B roll for you guys, but I was having camera issues.
Check the video out below and let the world know if it's Poppin or Floppin.

I meant to tell you about this last week, but I forgot. Listen you know what it is - you know what they do. And the A.I. camp is in Atlanta today taking registrations, for tomorrows auditions. Simon, Paula, and Ryan will be in town scouting for the next "BIG" thing in pop music.
Think you got what it takes to the million dollar recording contract back to the "A"? Click below

How many people actually sit down and actually read magazines these days? I don’t know many who do. And that’s why the good people who brought Atlanta their amazing superstar showcase, Almost Famous, remain on the cutting edge.
Verseus Entertainment publishes a magazine that you can read straight from your PC. This month they have none other then two of the hottest artist’s repping the south right now -- Polow Da Don, and Rich Boy.
Check it out.

Now that’s what I’m talking about. It looks like Yung Joc did in fact get the memo that “Coffee Shop†was lamer then lame.
He’s got a new song out that I actually like. This is how you got to bring that sh*t Joc... you got to come HARD!!.
Since it’s kind of slow on the Atlanta hip-hop scene I figured that I would take a slight detour and focus on an issue that we are all too familiar with, and that’s racism in our society. There is this one blog that always advertises their site in the comment section, so I decided to check it out. And as my grandmother always tells me - nothing ever happens by accident.

Last night I stopped by Boby Tap to take a listen to Rocko’s new song “Umma Do Meâ€. I know what you’re thinking, “Who the hell is Rocko, right? Well Roc’s been holding down singer Monica for quite some time. He’s the only one I can think of who would throw a lavish engagement for just one song. I guess Pimpin aint easy!
It seems he’s trying establish a career in hip-hop. There's just one problem….

Jay-Z's new Rocawear "I Will Not Lose" campaign is pure genius. He's picked a select group of up and coming talents to express how they overame tremendous obstacles to come out on top.
The urban brand has picked everyone from Ciara, Chris Brown, Toccarra, Rich Boy and a handful of others to inspire, uplift, and of course sell clothes.
Check out Rich Boy's revealing insight on how he became the Alabama rap representative.

The MTV Awards came out yesterday and it’s no surprise that Atlanta artists got their shine. Check out the list of the Moonman hopefuls below.

I’ve been wondering where in hell Young Dro has been. With the success of T.I.’s multiple albums, I think it’s time for him to start focusing on his artists a lot more.
Check out this new track by Young Dro ….

I always find it interesting to see east coast rappers attempting to capitalize off of the southern movement. One of the main reason’s why the south, particularly Atlanta, remains on top is because there is an unspoken unity. That’s not the case in NYC.
Check out Eve trying to show her freestyle skills off “Party Like A Rock Starâ€

I talked about the Soulja Boy dance craze that's sweeping the hip-hop nation including NYC. Well it's getting worse, or better, depending on how you look at it.
WELL I'LL BE DAMNED!!!!!!!!!!
Trust Me You'll understand once you click below.

Are you fan of New Era? You know they design the flyest hats in the game. Every dude I know has at least 10-12 New Era caps. Well they are coming to Atlanta in a big way, by making opening their Flagship store right on Luckie Street.
And they’re having a big grand opening and they want you to all come out and be apart of the experience.
Get the details below.

It looks T.I. is still out to for celebrity blood. In a new interview the pint sized rapper expresses more of his outlandish opinions. He’s no too keen on Hollywood, nor does he entertain the idea of putting on a dress.
Confused right? Well read on.....

It seems my dude Joc can't catch a break.
After releasing the ultra-confusing track “Coffee Shopâ€, which I still don’t know what the hell the Coffee Shop is. It looks like Yung Joc's camp is attempting to regroup and figure things out.
Of course you know what that means right…â€push backâ€!!

Say what you sill about Pimp C, but his recent rant might have scored UGK a platinum album. You know Gyant’s known for giving you all exclusive listens to albums before they drop - and today is no exception. Listen to UGK’s new album “Underground Kingzâ€.
Click below to listen…

By now I’m sure everybody heard about the “The Best MC In The Game…Right Now†but I’m sure many of you haven’t seen the actual airing of the show. But you know Gyant looks you out. In this exclusive clip below you can check out the knock down drag out discussion about who is in fact, the best!
