As far as Vick is concerned, I am actually disappointed that he cut his hair. He did EXACTLY what the "white man" would want him to do. By cutting his hair, he is giving people the impression that it was a "negative look"... Hell, he had a bad image rockin the ceasar... so the braids have absolutely nothing to do w/ anything. I hate when ppl try to paint cornrows as something negative. It's all about how you wear it and carry yourself. He wore his hair well, but carried himself poorly.
