Truthfully in the early days of hiphop you had rappers making songs up with dances to them and all the fun shit is cool. But you got a lot of major issues still occuring in the hood. We need balance cuz if no one tells stories of the poverty stricken nieghborhoods we live in change will never happen. Im from Hartford, CT and im sure a lot of you dont know nothing about that area but its a small city with a big murder rate. There were 4 killings over this past weekend with many more to come. A 21 year old girl I went to Weaver High with got shot in the face while sitting in the car in her driveway. Her mom thought she was sleeping in the car until she walked up and saw her brains all over the place. Now depicting that story in a song in a real emotional touching way is what I perfer to make as opposed to leaning and rocking or the fake ass I blow your head off records. R.I.P Asha Grace!

At this point in the rap game...I don't see rappers elevating to that level....I think rap is at it's peak, the "snap happy" "crunk" rap has flooded the airwaves.....you can even see in in these ringtones....which I think is the most ridiculous thing.
