If you’re a true Atlanta Hip-hop fan or have least picked up a newspaper in the past year then you should be all but too familiar with the well-known Black Mafia Family.
To give you a quick overview they basically ran the streets of Atlanta a few years ago, and some say were pivotal in putting rappers like Young Jeezy and Fabolous on the map.
Though their reign has ended, its not forgotten by the streets, the hood, or the court system..
Find out just how ugly it’s getting below.

What's good everybody,
He’s got billboard domination. He’s ½ of one of the most talented hip-hop groups of our time. And he’s an accomplished actor, musician, producer, and over all entertainer.
In a time where everyone goes right â€"Andre 3000 â€" went left with everything from his lyrical substance to his androgynous clothing style.
And now he’s keeping the trend going with a new album that’s all about the kids.

I promise you all this will be the last post I do on T.I. for a minute. It seems like I’ve talked about him at least 15 times in the past two weeks.
Grand Hustle and Atlantic Records please make the check payable to…..I’m just kidding.
Nah but for real though T.I. killed it on Rap City’s Freestyle and I thought Id post it to get ya thoughts.
This post is strictly for the fans. I have nothing to say either way.

There is so much new music out that I thought I would follow SOHH Soulman’s lead by launching SOHH Gyant’s Hot 5.
It’s just a few hot tracks out right now that I thought I’d break off to you guys â€"Sort of a peace offering for throwing so much grease this week.
I've got hot tracks from Ludacris, T.I., Montana Da Mack (shut up), and of course the man of the hour T.I.
Check them out and download away.

What’s up everybody,
Ok, this is my last post on the BET Awards â€"I promise. The sound system was horrible last night, which could be the reason why a lot of the performances were whack as all hell.
Check them out for yourselves and you decide. And then let us all be done with this sh*t until next year.

What's up everybody,
Every year since its inception, I grab a pint of my favorite ice cream and crowd in front of the television to watch the BET Music Awards.
I usually post my commentary on my popular blog O1LT.com. However, this year I thought I would share it with you guys exclusively.
This is my favorite time of year when I can address all the buffoonery, fashion faux pas and corny moments that usually has everyone crowding around the water cooler the next day.
Check out what I had to say about the BET Music Awards 2007. Warning, proceed with caution...

I caught up with young hoodstar Montana "Da Mac" recently to find out what all the hype is regading him and his popular song "Rock On (Do The Rock Man)"
Check out what all the buzz is about below....

What’s up Everybody,
Can I ask you guys a serious question…SERIOUSLY? Would you rather have a good rap song that’s rich in lyrical content, and no flashy materialism, or the other way around?
I think we can all agree that hip-hop is in the toilet these days. But it seems that every single video that I watch is becoming as generic and uninspiring as the next.
And this one is no different….

I want you all to take a look at the email that I just received from former Corporate Thugz Entertainment employee Nick Love regarding the “T.I. Takes A Leak†post.
I first want to address the issues of the leak. I would never have put the link up if I was the first person who was privy to it. The fact of the matter is that the album had been up for 14 hours and was popping up on several hip-hop sites.
At that point it is no longer a question it’s more of exclamation point. I knew what needed to be done and I did it. I brought my audience something I knew EVERYBODY wanted.
And I try to give y’all exactly what you want...
It was bound to happen. And now with T.I.’s scuffle with Chaka Zulu, that most are saying the dual-personality lyricist initiated. I find it somewhat poetic justice that his new album is rapidly spreading throughout the internet.
I was going to post the tracks on SOHH.com but lawd knows I don’t need lil homie , or one of his goons, stepping at me at the next event I go to where he is on the guest list. So I while I won't post the tracks here…..
I will leave some breadcrumb's for you all to get it for yourselves…

What's up everybody,
Just as I was about to lay my head down and call it a night, I got this disturbing email from a very close -- and well informed source -- regarding two very well known people in the hip-hop game.
As we all know the BET music awards are set to air Tuesday June 26, which means a lot of today’s hottest Atlanta acts are there enjoying the festivities.
Well, amidst all the mingling and celebrating it seems two music moguls came to fisticuffs at a party…yes lawd it gets worse keep reading.

**Picture Added For Dramatic Effect. It's Not Real!"**
I had heard about this rumor for a little while and prayed privately to myself that it wasn’t true, but it looks like I can now let the cat out of the bag.
Word on the street is that Ciara officially has a main dude. And that brutha is one Mr. Amusement Park himself, 50 Cent.
Somebody brace Bow Wow for this, I can just smell a diss record.

What’s good everybody,
While many people think that T.I. is in fact the King of The South. It seems that he’s not the king of residential neighborhoods, or at least one particular neighborhood here in Atlanta, GA.
According to published reports, when the one hundred and twenty poundâ€"soaking wet rapperâ€"went to purchase his new dream home, the seller’s response was “no sale.â€
Word on the streetz is that all the marketing efforts have been exhausted, and Bobby will not be getting a second single or video for his highly disappointing “Special Occasionâ€.
The album peaked at #3 but has fallen faster then a girl’s panties on prom night to #50 in only 5 weeks. To date the album has failed to receive a gold certification from the RIAA.
But wait..I'm also hearing there are more rumblings over at DTP…..

What’s up everybody,
Shout out to the young Jermaine Dupri in the making Lil' A, for producing a new song that’s burning up the clubs here in Atlanta..
Lil A has worked with such popular Atlanta acts like J nicks, Et (Sandman) , Todd 1 , Revo, C-Bone (Purple Ribbon All Stars), Yung Pimp, HNE (Hell Naw Entertainment), TracK Mobb Clique, Robb Fetti, Miss Holliwood (GA Girls), Soulja Boy, DJ Doh Boy,B12 (Patti Cake Man),Pretty Boy Tank, and many more. And of course he’s behind “Dat Good†featuring Faboo.
“Dat Good†is a Teen of Crunk original.
Check out track below and tell me what ya think…

T.I.’s new music video has dropped for “You Know What It Isâ€.
The self proclaimed “King Of The South†claims this will be the “Song Of The Summerâ€, but what do y'all think?
Check out the new video below. Is it Poppin, or Floppin?

What’s up everybody,
It’s time for the second part of my sit down with rapper Loon.
I’ve got to be honest, when I got a call from my industry associate G-Mack about interviewing Loon, I initially thought “why?†At first I didn’t think anyone would care or that he would be all that interesting to talk to you, but I have never been more wrong.
Loon was one of the best celebrity interviews I’ve had ever. I covered so much ground with the songwriter turned C.E.O.
Here’s my second part post on Chauncey (sorry Loon I couldn’t resist).
Check it out!

I feel the need to come to an artists' defense over this new internet rumor that’s gaining strong momentum.
While I know I’ve been known to start my share of sh*t with a few celebs, I really think I, and who ever else was at the Birhday Bash this weekend, needs to step up and clear the air.
Did Young Buck really say “F*ck G-Unit?â€â€¦Find out the real scoop after the jump

Universal Republic sent me an advance copy of Shop Boyz new album. And I’ve got to be honest - the project isn’t bad at all.
I’m sure most of y’all know that with today’s lackluster entertainers - if you purchase a CD, you might find 3-4 tracks you actually like (if you’re very lucky). But, “ROCKSTAR MENTALITY†exceeds that quota easily.
Contrary to what many may think, their new album, which hits stores June 19th, is not all about the “rock star movementâ€. It’s actually a perfect balance of traditional southern hip-hop hospitality mixed with a rock star edge.
Let me break down the good, and yes â€" even the bad.
Find out more below!
Hot 107.9’s Annual Birthday Bash was off the chain this year!!
Today’s hottest entertainers, most of which represent the south, came out to show over 20,000 fans some love,
This years event was particuarlly special because it made history - by being selling out one week prior to showtime.
T.I., The Game, Ciara, Usher, Jermaine Dupri, Faboo, 8Ball and MJG, DJ Khaled, DJ Drama, Young Buck, that damn Bobby Valentino, Lil John, and others were in the building. And I got some tight video and pictures for y’all to check out.
But before we get into it, I have to shout out a special faithful SoHH Atlanta reader â€"Lil Jeff.
I had the pleasure of running into him at the bash, and he just so happens to be related to one of Disturbing Tha Peace representative's Chaka Zulu. Here’s to you lil homie â€"keep reading!
Aiight now lets get into the grease throwing…

I had the opportunity to attend this weekend's 107.9’s Annual Birthday Bash and when I tell you they did their thing â€" you really should have been there.
While I will be bringing you exclusive pictures and video (shhhh don’t tell anybody) of all the festivities, I have to take a moment to address my crush I have for Atlanta songstress Ciara.

Many of us remember former Bad Boy recording artist Loon as the pretty boy rapper who made Puffy’s I need a girl a hit a few years back.
But don’t get it twisted, Loon is as street as the next fella and he’s taking aim over a little controversy over a new song that was recorded with he and synthesizer singer T-Pain.(Who Is Dat (Dirty)
I caught up with Loon this AM to talk about some things and your mouth is going to drop when you hear what he had to say about everybody from Puffy, to rapper turned spokesperson for Jesus â€" MASE. He also had some things to say about 50 cent.
Watch the video!!
What’s good everybody,
I had decided against posting any pictures or video of JD’s lame club opening on Monday. But since a lot of you guys didn’t believe my Report I thought I’d show you way better then I could tell ya.
What's good everybody,
If you can remember from Monday I posted some Young Jeezy concert footage from this years RockCorp event.
Well I had more video from Eve, and Busta Rhymes for you all to check out. Am I the only one who thinks that Eve is one of the sexiest women in the game? Check out her lip gloss "its poppin!"

So it seems that the now defunct “White Girls†marketing campaign that has been widely denied by the people over at CTE, (but I know better) has shaken up everything at the label as Young Jeezy has just announced a new management team.
A lot of key players who helped Jay establish his name in this business are being dropped faster then some weed down a toilet during a surprise drug bust.

Say what you will about the Shop Boyz but they have officially made the “rock movement†popular in Atlanta.
There song has been burning up the clubs, and it seems that every time I hear a cell phone go off their ring tone chimes in.
And to amp the fans up even more they’ve released their official remix to “Party Like A Rock Star†featuring Lil Wayne, Jim Jones, and Chamillionaire.
Check it out below. Is it Poppin or Floppin?

I almost forgot about Young Buck! He’s been so quiet these past few months but he’s obviously been working because he got a new video out.
I’ll be the first to tell you that I’m not a big G-Unit fan, however I do like Buck. He’s successfully managed (in recent months) to stay out of the beefing, and high-octane antics that has made G-Unit and 50 Cent so popular.
Check out his new video for U Aint Going Nowhere below.

What’s good everybody,
Well I had planned to give you all a post about Jermaine Dupri’s club opening last night but my mother used to tell me that if you don’t have anything nice to say…then come sit by her. LOL!!
I won’t get into the grease throwing too much â€" all I will say is that this new club (Studio 72) is not for the elite. It’s more for the everyday paycheck baller. Its right next to Dollar General for god sakesâ€"need I say more?
So instead of putting up the pictures and video of the unexciting event, I decided to focus my attention on Gucci Mane.

What’s up everybody?
So you know this weekend is going to be crazy in the “A†right? It seems the top two hip-hop radio stations will battle it out for fans as they both have two MAJOR events popping off this weekend.
HOT 107.9’s Birthday Bash will cater to Atlanta’s true hip-hop fans! With such acts like T.I., Ciara, Montana Da Mac, and The Game already confirmed for their concert, it’s already looking to be a pretty interesting event.
However, don’t count out V103 because it looks like what they’re lacking in star power they’ll make up with the hottest whips (that’s cars for the non hip) on the planet.
Check out more below!

What’s good everybody?
If you’re a regular reader of SoHH Atlanta then you know at least three things about me.
1. I have a certain disdain for Bobby Valentino.
2. I grow tired of all the incredibly whack rappers and their lame music.
3. I love Serena Williams.
Well the latter is the topic of discussion today because when I saw these pictures on multiple web and blog sites I knew I had to show you all.
I got the opportunity to get an exclusive advanced listening to the self proclaimed "King of The South's" new album over the weekend at a private listening session, and I got to admit that project isn't half bad.
I mean let's be real: Will the album make a few million dollars? "Yes". But will T.I. vs. Tip go down as a classic album? I hate to say it, but "No"!
Out of all the tracks I listened to there were really only two I absolutely didn't like. Check out my exclusive video below.
What's good everybody?
Saturday night was the annual Boost Mobile RockCorp event which was held and the World Famous Fox Theater.
Today’s hottest hip-hop acts (Young Jeezy, Eve, Jim Jones, Rick Ross, Nick Cannon, Rich Boy, Keri Hilson, Lil Wayne, and Busta Rhymes) all came out show the kids the rewards of volunteerism. An estimated 3,000 kids all received tickets to this event.
You know the Gyant was in the building to capture all the offbeat moments that y’all like to see. Check out my report below.

What’s up everybody?
What in the hell is happening with these record labels? I get music submitted to me all the time but this shi*t is absolutely ridiculous!
This new kat who goes by the name of Kia Shine who’s also reppin Memphis, Tennessee has just dropped this unbelievably lame video confusingly titled “Krispyâ€.
WTF is “Krispy I know I’m a east coast transplant but I’ve never heard that phrase used on any street corner, or in any form of vernacular ever.

What’s good everybody?
Yo I just saw this movie trailer on youtube.com and I knew I had to bring it over to SoHH for you guys to see.
Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe, and Atlanta rapper T.I. are about to set the silver screen on fire with their new movie "American Gangster".

What’s good everybody?
What a week it has been. One of the things that I love about this city is how many events pop off during the summer. I swear from now until mid September there will be something happening almost everyday.
I meant to tell you all about the Screen On The Green at Piedmont Park yesterday. They played the old classic “Car Wash†with Richard Pryor and when I tell you it was packed â€"it was truly off the chain.
There were a sea of black people with the food, the liquor, and, yes, I even smelled a faint weed mist in the air. It was great! If you were out there then you know what I’m talking about.
Anyway so with so much going on this week, I decided to do a weekly recap. Plus I got some info on Andre 3000 for all my “Dre-nistas†out there.

Ok so last week I posted an entry on two Atlanta rappers who were rumored to be having business differences over the music tracks.
The disagreement resulted in this very popular rappers decision to go forward with his second album without his key producer. I tried to be as evasive-yet revealing as possible so I put it in the form of a blind item.
In case you’ve forgotten it or this is your first time I’ll do a quick recap.

What’s good everybody,
T.I. is taking his “T.I. v.s. Tip†marketing campaign kind of seriously isn’t he?
I got an email yesterday inviting me to T.I.’s album listening party this coming Saturday. But as I was saving the graphic to show you guys (Calm down Atlantic Records, I wasn’t going to post the address of the event) I was taken to another page that had this video promotion embedded.
I wanted you all to see it and after using some Matrix like philosophy I figured out away to embed it into this post. Sorry record label techy’s but you can’t deny the Gyant!!
I think it’s pretty safe to say that this is an exclusive because nobody else has this sh*t on any other blog and I mean NOBODY!

What’s good everybody,
Last week I ran a blind item on a rapper being accused of shady business practices, and I'll be damned if someone isnt screaming almost the exact same thing with a completely different rapper entirely.
Last night â€" while attending Ne-Yo’s concert â€" I got a bug put in my ear regarding arguably one of Atlanta’s most popular rappers. This story is particularly shocking because the luv this rapper receives from this great city is unparallel.
Since I can’t confirm or deny this rumor at the moment I’m going to put it in the form of a Blind Item. I am actively working on obtaining an interview with the producer and I hope to have that for you soon.
You know your boi is always out and about, and last night was no exception. I decided to hit up Neyo’s concert and unlike the Ying Yang Twins Neyo had a packed house. Center Stage was easily packed to capacity and I must admit â€" I had a good time.
Check out all the exclusive pictures and video. Though Soulman beat me to it, I’m still going to post it for you guys. This is his genre anyway so it’s all good!

What’s up everybody?
Can I just take a minute to express my luv for Outkast! Since day one these kats have moved me and inspired me and damn near 10 years later they continue with the inspiration.
They’ve finally released the highly anticipated video with UGK called “International Players Anthem†and the sh*t, in my opinion, is fiyah.
Take the time to check it out and tell me, is it poppin or floppin?
What’s up everybody?
It’s kind of slow in terms of Atlanta happenings so I thought I would talk about Atlanta football superstar Michael Vick and his new conservative hairstyle.
As many of you all know Michael has been in and out the tabloids it seems since day one. From the alleged herpes infections, to the hidden compartment in a water bottle, to now being investigated for allowing illegal dog fighting at his Virgina home, things couldn’t me more worse for the 23 million dollar man.
I just saw this posted in the comments section of SoHH Atlanta and decided to post it.
It looks like Swizz Beatz, Fabulous, and Cassidy are trying to swipe T.I.’s beat to create some buzz for themselves, but I don’t think its working for them.

Happy Monday everybody,
So this is the official cover to T.I.’s new album “T.I. Vs Tipâ€. As you can see the album is reflecting his dual personality as a shrewd business man and a respected street hustler.
I for one like the album cover; I think it’s his best one yet. As you all know TI’s new album is dropping in about 4 more weeks.
What’s up everybody?
Word on the street is that the R.Kelly event was one of the most successful events of the summer, so far. Everyone who’s anyone was in attendance. I had already made my peace with the “Black and White Affair†and decided I wasn’t going because I have a personal issue with the alleged child molester.
But that didn’t seem to stop Atlanta’s musical elite from coming out to support the pied piper of R&B, which leads me into this story. What the hell was going on with Ciara and Polow Da Don that night?

What’s good everybody?
Never underestimate the power of the press. As you all know I was at Neyo’s private VIP event a few days ago and I bumped into Melyssa (how do you spell that b*tches name?).
Well things have seemingly fallen apart since then in terms of her movie career. Fellow blogger Sandra Rose did an excellent recap on the situation that went down on The Wendy Williams Experience Friday June 1st, 2007.
