I would go see it. My daugter is taking ballet and 2 years ago they did an Urban Ballet that featured "Hey Ya", "The Corner", "Jesus Walks" - so I am sure it will be very interesting!

What's even worse is the fact that good concerts come through atlanta and he doesn't acknowledge them. Common came through on sunday....no mention of that. This nigga went to the hip hop is dead concert and didn't mention it. In fact when he did acknowledge it he had the nerve to say nas coulda been better! Nas been doing like 2 hr sets by himself doing all his classics. How you gonna say a legend coulda been better! GYANT IS A FRAUD AND NEEDS TO BE DEALT WITH!

Damn...I know I've "questioned" some of your posts, SOHH Gyant, but even I have to say that this hate is unwarranted. It's so easy for people to hate, but I don't see anyone stepping up to do your job. To the haters, if you think he sucks so much please come in here and post a better blog update every single day and see how people react to you. I aint a hater I just think that someone who has a position to speak on something I love should know more about it than me. No knock against SOHH Gyant, but bloggers, typically, are not journalists. Unfortunately, as more and more people become bloggers and gain readers, this line is becoming more blurred, but there is a difference.

Not to discredit what Gyant does - and I don't know him personally - but I am assuming that he is no more than someone like you or me who is interested in what's HOT in Atlanta...he is just in a position to write about it on this site; and because he's a blogger and NOT a journalist, he can pick and choose what he writes about and, also, interject his own opinion.

In your defense, Future, it is your right to and privilege to come in here and say, "Nigga you still trash!". I guess that's why they have the comment sections.

(man, that line was funny as hell...but, again, hateful as a motherf**ker!)

Now, my position is why tear this brotha down who (at times...) is doing something so positive? When we have so many dumb, straight-stupid motherf**kers who support bullsh*t like "Stop Snitching" and continue to promote general ignorance that is RAPIDLY crippling our communities, why tear down someone just sharing his personal knowledge!? He attends all of these events and then comes back and writes about them so that people like me (who lives in one of the most boring places in America, Raleigh-Durham) can read these posts and think, "Man, I sure I was there."

Not to give Gyant a pass - he's drunk the Hateraid from time-to-time, himself. However, he doesn't have to abide by any journalistic ethics or anything.

So my ultimate point (sorry I'm so long-winded) is that if you, yourself, are looking into becoming a journalist, go to news sites, not hip hop blogs. Read the main articles on this site as well as the other hip hop sites that offer features, interviews, editorial pieces, etc.

Again, no knock on SOHH Gyant - he's just a dude like you and I sharing his personal views or opinion with no journalist accountability to worry about.
