Last night I had the opportunity to attend Ne-Yo’s new recording studio opening and had planned on letting you all know about him - but something happened last night that had me focusing on something entirely off topic. I got two words for youâ€"Melissa Ford!

The former video vixen turned actor is in town filming a movie with Vivica A. Fox called Three Can Play That Game, a sequel to Two Can Play That Game.

I got some hot video as well as some scorching pictures of the Canadian beauty. And don’t worry all you Ne-Yo fans -I got you. I will do another post later on this afternoon highlighting his event. But right now it’s all about Melissa.

Though its been advertised that Melissa Ford is going play the “other woman” in Wendy Williams new movie that’s based on her life, Melissa told me exclusively that she will not be taking the role.

“I don’t want to be pigeonholed” the voluptuous beauty said. “I want to expand as an actor, and that role might not be the best thing for me or my career.”

I don’t know about you but Melissa Ford could play any role she wants and I’d still check her out.

I understand what Melissa Ford is saying about being “pigeonholed”. In other words she wouldn’t want to be tight-cast in the typical pretty black girl roles. Most actresses prefer to opt out of those as well but the difference is those are established actresses that have set a name and respect for themselves in Hollywood. Melissa is known as a Video Vixen and having a sick body. When you are just starting to get your feet wet in this business the best thing is to take many different roles. That will show your versatility in portraying several characters and not to mention get you a check.

You have to start somewhere. Perfect example Halle Berry.
