Yet, there is nothing more negligent than attempting to address a problem one finds on a branch by censoring the leaves.

Name calling, racist generalizations, sexist perceptions, are all rooted in something much deeper than an uncensored music. Like the rest of the world, I watched footage on AOL of you dancing mindlessly to 50 Cent on your fiftieth birthday as he proclaimed, "I got the ex/if you're into taking drugs/ I'm into having sex/ I ain't into making love" and you looked like you were having a great time. No judgment. I like that song too. Just as I do, James Brown's Sex Machine or Grand Master Flashes "White Lines". Sex, drugs, and rock and roll is how the story goes. Censorship will never solve our problems. It will only foster the sub-cultures of the underground, which inevitably inhabit the mainstream. There is nothing more mainstream than the denigration of women as projected through religious doctrine."

I agree Bush is killing this country he is about business he used becoming president to focus on global business he can care less about the ghetto and helping to end poverty. He is a joke and an evil person who only got elected because he cheated and changed certain laws. Many don't know Bush allowed illegal immigrants the right to vote something that wasn't allowed in this country and it wasn't because he wanted to help them it was because of the cheap labor big corporate business support. Why you think many of these corporations are going to other countries for so they can get cheap labor like Phil Knight did. It's a joke what is going on and the majpr corporations wanted Bush because he is a business man and they all want to pay less to employees and have them doing slave labor so they can get more rich and thats why we have poverty. Take the factory jobs they say americans wouldn't do those jobs now yes thats because they pay chump change and no health care. If those Jobs which use to be union jobs still had union support they would pay about 40 dollars an hour now. In Los Angeles in the 1970's working at an auto body shop would pay you 25 to 30 dollars an hour now those jobs only hire immigrants who only make about 8 dollars an hour. The Trade effect for cheap labor sad that people don't vote because it's more poor people than rich people and the poor can make a change by getting these clowns out of office.

First of all, I agree with Real Nigga, it is imperative for a father or any other role models to positively influence their kids as well as those that look up to them as men. Their profession is not as influential as their deeds and examples that they set as men, as opposed to their persona in front of the cameras. What these entertainers represent is their personaâ€™s marketability to their audience, not their commonplace roles as father figures and or role models. A fatherâ€™s profession should always be left in its respective field, whether actor, rapper, lawyer or doctor. When that persona or professional role is out of its designed element, then the role of father figure proceeds to play a part in the raising of children and so forth. So when you say:

T.I. wants his children to emulate the example set forth by Clifford Harris, not T.I. or T.I.P or Snoop or any entertainerâ€¦â€¦those personas arenâ€™t real. Theyâ€™re for entertainment, not for emulation. Heâ€™s being a father, teaching his kids what the real world consists of. Providing for your family away from home, and coming home to teach, raise, and care for the family. I like to see this side of rappers, because I know that theyâ€™re regular people behind all of the hyper-masculinity and gangsterism. I didnâ€™t even see where you came from with this statement:

Any reasonable father wants his children to not only achieve more success than he did, but also demonstrate mature behavior earlier than he did. Black males in the inner-cities of America donâ€™t always make the most sensible and mature decisions as youths, so as fathers itâ€™s only natural that theyâ€™d like for their kids to be better than them in all aspects. And again, Clifford Harris makes a living as T.I.; he raises his kids and provides the means necessary for them to be successful as well. Is it that hard to comprehend?

If itâ€™s hard to understand than put it like this, when Denzel Washington starred in â€˜Training Dayâ€™, do you think he would be a hypocrite to tell his kids not to be like the character that he played (Officer Alonzo Harris)? Whatâ€™s the difference? See its all entertainment & some of these comments show how people donâ€™t think critically and let their assumptions and emotions take place of their logic.

Until youâ€™ve heard any rapperâ€™s position on politics despite where theyâ€™re from, then you or anyone else that are unaware of their thoughts on politics should save the uninformed comments. As for political/conscious rappers in the southâ€¦Besides Dre 3000, ever heard of Little Brother from North Carolina? How about Dead Prez (stic.man is from Florida)? How about the CunninLynguists?
