NYOIL "Y'all Should All Get Lynched"!!!

Posted on April 23, 2007 12:27 PM

nyoil.jpg

I’m not bigging up NYC, up north hip-hop or nothing like that. But at this point Hip-Hop is under the gun and I’m not going to play into the regional bullshit.

Once shit gets good again and the world gets off our backs, then we can go back to business as usual. But this kat’s got a message that we all need to hear.

NyOil "Y'all Should All Get Lynched"

Hip-Hop falls under one umbrella and right now we need to ban together if we’re to find a solution. SoHH Atlanta, like all of our other blogs, get read by industry insiders, record labels, advertisers, everybody. And it’s my goal to use this forum right.

Trust and believe they read all your comments and I’m sure they're taking all that we have to say into consideration as they determine exactly what their next move is going to be.(hopefully)

Every time truth comes we hate it, because it's coming against our ego. Are you going to let the ego come between you and this music that you love?

Talk to y’all lata,

  • That is the illest shit I have heard in a long time. EVERYONE needs to here that in the game or not. Especially what he said in regards to women. We need to stop all this cooning and teaching our babies that we are niggers and can't rise up. Stop teaching our children that all we know are drugs, sex, shoes, cars, big ass diamonds, rims. Stop teaching our sons its OK to father children and run off. Stop teaching our daughters that the only way you are going to advance is to spread it to world. We are desendants of Kings and Queens and we need to act like it.

  • Funny how nobody from the south even attempted a serious heartfelt song about hurricane kutrina, but lil flip is pouring his heart out over something that happened all the way in virginia almost immediately.
Its was sad and all, but it was a nut job, a kid who got fed up and went stupid with his gun, its happened before. I say he's capitolizing off the shit nuff said, we're capitolist by nature. I also think Bun B should have had his ass on oprah or made sure his opinion was heard more effectively like he did about the whole hip hop is dead thing. what the fuck? you damn near ready to body nas & new york over song lyrics, but you make a raggedy ass T-shirt to show your disgust to a white man who called college ballplayers hoes? who is the real enemy to ya'll niggas down south anyway?
Im so sick of watching this entire southern movement represent hip hop in the national spotlight everyday, all day, worldwide, top 40 radio, TV etc. only to watch them actually try to distance themselves from true blue hip hop and its fans and anything affiliated with anything outside of the south.
To be so on top, why is the south excluded from damn near every important social event dealing with black culture, mainly hip hop which they swear up and down lives in the south? where was the south on the oprah panel?
I though ya'll was taking over?
why did common and russel simmons have to take all that heat for the niggas who dont wanna take no responsability for their music thats the topic of discussion? Every video clip they showed was from a nelly or southern video. where was Bun B at? Pimp C? them niggas is legends too just as much as Ice-T or somebody and he's active, where these niggas at? Where was TI? wayne? baby? Jeezy? Ludacris? TPain, rick ross, mr I know the real noriega? the list goes on & on.
None of these niggas said shit about anything of relivance but the usual; how much money they got, how much their going to get and how they make it rain on them hoes. They could care less about shit else cause they aint apart of the struggle no more, they just came from it. big difference.
Ya'll niggas cant hide your heads in the sand forever, partying.
If you wanna stay stuck chasing ass on every track or hustling on every track keep it to just the south liek ya'll was doing before, stay local then.
See but your an artist now, role models now, like it or not, and there are issues that need to be tackled and you get to be the spokesperson with out any say so.
It comes with your job title!
Sad thing is, when this your job, and you just ignore the responsability, shit like whats happening now to our music and our culture starts to happen. Everybody turns into "not me" or "I dont know".
Fuck the finger pointing and all that, I know for a fact that if I want glorified stripper music I'm goin down south for it, its what ya'll do, its all ya'll do, its been like that since forever. You gotta call a spade a spade, ya'll niggas need to be "trill" with yourselves and stop using the term hater so much to mask the truth about that culture. Own up to the fact that in the self destruction deaprtment you hold down the degrating of women/ pimping culture very well just as the west has gang culture, and the east has the Thug/ black on black violence thing going on. were killing us, no doubt about it, its really all about getting the masses to change their taste, cause the consumer has changed and it aint us schooling strictly us no more....we need to 'snap' out of it N.I.G.G.A.S.

I like that cut it has a really popular message, he's a nice lyricist that song is aiight the message is really strong but with the rappers (not hip hop) they can't take that kind of criticism and the executives at these major record labels don't wanna hear that either.. Im not saying that its not good, but it's more spoken word than hip hop.. I like that type of music but it was a little lackluster and I think that if KRS-1, Rakim, Public Enemy, and all the other hip hop old schoolwould come together the youth won't listen... We need the young gun's to step up the Lil Wayne's, T.I.'s, Jeezy's, Dipset's, and all the young cas who got the streets on smash if they all get together they can impact this situation... Stop all this bullshit beef and make a change...

  • Camron was on "60 minutes" last night and basically made an ass of himself, all in the hopes of selling some records. The Don Imus situation (with some help from Micheal Richards)has created a backlash against "coon" rap that has been brewing for some time.
If anything, rappers who don't normaly get radio play(Murs, Kweli,) will start to get some attention...It least that's what I hope.

We have to all be on one accord Im from the south and I am HIP HOP... (Str8 Up) I am engulfed in this culture and lifestyle since I was an adolescent, so I kow the difference between The Message and The Massacare... I also know the difference between right and wrong and that was instilled in me from my Parents I dont listen to rap in front of my parents or elders out of respect not shame I dont curse in front of my elders either... It's all about respect and pride of self if you dont have it for you, you can't have it for anybody else... Hence forth the term "I'd rather be feared than loved" To be loved is to be respected

Oprah target audience is middle age white women, These are not people who are going to run out and by a Rap cd because that person was on Oprah and let's be honest about why Oprah had that town hall meeting... It was because Don Imus called some educated Black Women Nappy Headed Ho's and his defense is that rappers call our women this and worst so that's why she did a show about it .... Oprah is not the blame for backlash Hip Hop is expereiencing now... Put the blame where it should be... Don't use Harpo as a excuse

Is Oprah the new target now?

who gives a rats hairy ass cuzzin?

she right at the end of the day. Yeah she panders to her audience that isnt exactly known for it's endearment to our community, but who cares. I dont watch that womans show anyway so i sure as hell don't.

i think she's sexist myself, and hates men, especially black men, but thats a different topic.

So Imus calls some chicks hoes, then the world goes on fire about it. The only excuse given is that Imus doesnt have hood pass like Paul Wall does (who is also white)

why? Because Paul Wall has grill piece and raps?

we really the dumbest and most easily hearded group of human sheep on this planet.

Listen to that Georgia Bush song by lil Wayne before you make comments about dude, he did speak about Katrina, your hating ass just wasnt listening, i can see that you are talking out your neck.

also check for Juvey with that video where he showed the distruction of katrina, when people were holding up signs saying that we are still here, that was after katrina and people acted like they forgot about them.

also check for David Banner and the messages that he put's in his songs, yeah some of them are on that crunk shit, just because he needs the exposure but if you would have bought his album you would hear his refrences to slavery & how blacks are treated.

also since you sound like a biased NY nigga, listen to that rich boy album, and listen to the messages on his songs, like "Let's get that paper". it's a message in that song, and since you are hating on him because of hearing that throw some D's song you are wrong.

listen to when Trick Daddy dropped "America" there was a message in that song also.

listen to that first field mob ashy to classy.

listen to that dirty boys Pimp and the gangsta.

listen to all of the old outkast and goodie mob albums, listen to Witchdoctor.

    listen to B.O.B

there are songs on these albums that cover these topics, but the problem was niggas like you wasnt listening to them, you didnt want to hear them, but when a nigga put on a song about how balling or how gangsta he is, you give him your full undivided attenion.

i see that most of ya'll niggas are quick to judge, but dont know the facts, I was raised in south carolina, and we know about out history and hertiage, and we dont deny it, but in order for us to get your attention we have to spit some ignorant shit, because thats what YOU want to hear... it's not the rappers fault, it's the fans they want to hear this shit, and in order for them to feed their familys they have to put this type of music out, and i dont see nothing wrong with a balling, gangsta or crunk song. i also want to hear a real song. but beacuse the fans want to hear ignorance why dont they give the fans what they want?

if you dont like the music that's being played dont listen to it, i dont listen to the radio, but if i do feel like listening to the radio, i will put it on an Old school R&B station.

and all of you hating niggas talking about fuck snap music, fuck you... what's wrong with dancing to music? oh it must be because it's from the south, well fuck the harlem shake, chicken noodle soup, and crip walking... aint nothing wrong with snap music dumb ass, it's something that you can have a good time dancing to. get your ass off of this boring ass depressing mindstate that you are in.

it's called entertainment, if these niggas want to opinions to be considered seriously, tell them to write a book. dont try to blend it into entertainment and make it boring and depressing when there are people out there making things fun... if you ride around in your car listening to this shit that's considered concious or serious with a mean mug all damn day, you are going to live an unhappy life and die depresed.

and too everyone who is praising the radios and people who are trying not to play this music that's considered degrading to women guess what you will be listening to.

    2 Step

    This is why i'm hot

    lip gloss

    pop lock and drop it

    walk it out

lean with it, rock with it

my diamonds this my diamonds that

my car this my car that

my rims this my rims that

do you get the picture. and if it wasnt for the rappers like Jeezy exposing the street life, the streets wouldnt be getting any attention. people tried to do this with NWA and PAC, and guess what happened, they became a household name.... so keep talking down bout Jeezy and Wayne....LMAO... your hatred is making them rappers bigger and better then they are now.

this NYOIL cat had a good message in his song, i actually liked it, i just didnt like the NY sound that the song had... the last rapper i've listened to from a rapper who was from the East Coast was probably the one Red and Meth did together(classic). i cant listen to NY rappers because they bore me, it's like a nigga that smoke Newports, trying to go back to smoke a Black and Mild... it just dosent do the trick for me anymore.

If you hate Wayne and Jeezy, then you hate Biggie and Redman. same subjects same topics, just diffrent delevery, diffrent regions. before you come with some biased ass smart dumb nigga response think about it.

and dont forget that you niggaz worship Jay-Z, the same nigga that tells you to drink budwiser, used to tell you to drink Cristal, but now it's Vodka. and is doing business with a bank known for it's connection to slavery, and all they are going to do is build basketball courts in BK, i guess Barclays likes to see thier niggers in court and on the court. aint this the same nigga that on his first album that was dubbed as classic, talking about selling dope and cocaine? aint he is the same one that was in videos with these nappyheaded hoes running around in a house with no respect for themselves (give it to me)? isn't he the same rapper who is trying to advertise these high price clothes and material things like Bentelys (sp), Mabachs, gucci, prada, fendi, prada, ect....(too many material things to list but you get the point)... dont take shots at Lil Wayne and not take Shots at Jay-Z...(and i noticed that Jay wasnt in that video above).

I know this is a long post and i'm on my soapbox right now, but the truth is the truth... i grew up in this enviornment that rappers rap about so i can relate, and we heard the messages, especially in the south, i grew up in South Carolina, a state known for it's civil war history, we see that in every small town, or big city in the state that we go to... and we know were we came from, but people cant help but get caught up in their present day situations. I'm lucky to be one of the ones to get out of that lifestyle, and i will raise my child not to live like that.

but if you are looking for inspriation look to your church, it's your pastor's job to preach to you not these rappers, they arent nothing but entertainers, and just that, and if you dont believe in Christ it's ok, look at what ever religion you believe in for inspriation, and a positive message, they are the ones that are intended to give you the peice of mind that you are looking for, and if they arent, go to school learn religion and preach your message your way, and if you dont beleve in God that's you, but look to whatever what you believe in for your inspriation not rappers, they arent the ones that are meant to delever you to Christ, Allah, or whoever/whatever you believe in. it's a rappers job to entertain you, they are susposed to make you dance, laugh, and have a good time, not to preach to you.

now you wake the fuck up!!!!!!!!!

that is the reason we are called niggers, because we actually worship these entertainers, instead of the religion that we believe... the same niggas on here giving props to this NYOIL cat for saying what he said on his song, are the same flip flop type of niggas who turn around and say 50 cent will murder Camron and vice versa.... you jackasses are confused. You dont know what you want, because you look for entertainers to give it to you.

now get that south hate out your heart, and tink about cleaning up NYC, because all i hear Jada rapping about is his gun with the beam on it, and how he will shoot a nigga, same with 50, and all 5 of the rappers that you have in NYC.

first i dont worship Wayne i do worship God, and entertaining wise i do think he is dope, but i'm not defending him at all, because he is guilty of talking about guns, hoes, killing niggaz, ect.... so dont get me twisted. and if you would have read my entire post, i said that you can believe in what you want to believe in, but watever you do dont worship a rapper, or look to an entertainer to give you the peice of mind that you are looking for. and far and your books, who say that the bible was written by man, was also written by man and that man's opinion on life, so if you beleve in what you read in those books you beleve in the man who wrote it, so you worship the author... and not one time did i come at you trying to down your reigion all i said is to look at your religion for inspriation. i care about your books just as much as you care for my bible, and i'm not some highly religous person, yes i Beieve in Jesus and God, i havent read the entier bible, but when i do go to church i can relate to what i hear. and the same with you when you read your man made books. so you can miss me with that bullshit too. i'm not here to give you the word that i beleve in like PZ, i said something real, and if you didnt get it then you are confused. i said to look at your belefs (not mine but yours) for peice of mind, not some millionare, that's trying to make more money.

and the reason you didnt hear those songs is because you wasnt checking for them. matter of fact, give me a second and i will download them to z-share and post them.

it's not ana at all dude, it's the truth, or at least what i believe... i have no hatred toward you or your believes either, but i did notice that you threw Waynes name up there as your primary target, when you can name thousands of rappers who are guilty of the same things that he is, even my favorite group "Outkast" but i'm not trying to come down on music for giving this image, because it's for entertainment purposes ONLY. that's like me blaming Hannable (spelling) for what happened at VT. ya dig. it's only common sense. we can have diffrent beliefs and still still find common ground, but i'm on this blog a lot when i'm bored and shit, and i see a lot of niggas giving props to Jay-z, Lox, Biggie and shit, but quick to put down Jeezy (same topics as Biggie), Wayne (money, cars, hoes...same as jay-z, before people claim that he waited until he turned 30 to grow up), and any other south rapper who talks about guns and pulling burners on niggas as much as the lox does.... i see alot of regional hate, from niggas who are quick to say that they dont hate on a region, but they are confused, I came from a confused enviornment, not knowing what was real, if you ask 10 niggas the definition of real you will get 10 diffrent answers, and you might get a refrence from a rap lyric from a ignorant nigga.

Period, no matter what region, and i'm not biased, i used to listen to a shit load of east coast music, (i've posted this before but) I used to bang Wu-tang, BCC, Heltaskelta, OGC, Black Moon, Nas, Moob Deep, Roots, Blackstar. i also listened to Common, and NWA, Snoop, Dre, Pac, Dogg Pound, Rappin 4 tay, Jayo Felony, Rass Kass, Canibus, Twista, Bone and a shit load of rappers, and yes i'm from the south and i know bout these niggaz, but dont tell me that these niggas with the exctption of Roots, blackstar, and common, were spitting 75% positive music on thier albums, the topic is the affects of negative music on young blacks, not who was a better rapper. and like i said my favorite group was Outkast, but they even spoke on pulling a pistol on a nigga, fucking hoes, selling dope and smoking weed.

i dont know bout the north or the west, but i know in the south you are dubbed with the name lil, or young, for one of many reasons:

if your father was named rodney for example, the oldheads and other niggas in the hood will call you lil rodney

if you were a short nigga or skinny nigga, peoplw would call you little rodney or little rodney.

if most people knew your big brother (like in my case) was named Omar, people who knew your big brother would call you little or young Omar.

you get it, it's a nickname that people gave you while you were little or young, and it stuck with you, no matter your age, people will always know you as little or young so and so.

beacuse that's how we have fun. period, we like to dance, and i dont see what's wrong with snapdancing, and having a good time with it, just look at them old heads from around your way, when they do thier little dance, it's all about having a good time, as far as the dances (no hate to NY) but the most coon looking dance is chicken noodle soup. i dont think 2 step was a coon dance, if that's the case you can say the butterfly, bankhead bounce, all the dances that Hammer used to do, were coon dances, matter of fact you can say all dances that hip hop does are coinsidered coon dances. now that chicken noodle soup looks exactly like some minstral show shit, but walk it out is kinda fresh IMO. and in the south that's what we do is dance, we love to party and have fun, because we have so many problems, we just say fuck it and just have fun and worry about them later because life is too short.

how bout if you only had 20 dollars, your light bill was 200, you get paid friday, and it was a party tonight that cost 3 dollars to get in... yeah you stressed about paying this bill, but you cant let it get you down, have fun, worry about your problems later, life is too short. i've never seen ying yang dance, they did dance songs, but they did have video hoes in thier video, just like Jay-z, and give it to me was a club track, so did 50 cent. we grew up off of stuff you can party too. you can take it back to when the old folks would do the twist when they heard Isley Bros, or the atomic dog when they heard Parlament. dancing is a part of who we are as black people. look at how the old african tribes used to get down, then look at us as black people dancing... it is a steryotype but black people love to dance, and if it's a new dance we will love to do it, so it's nothing... but like i said, thag chicken noodle soup was some fucked up shit, and i'm glad it didnt catch on, but as far as just snaping your fingers, i dont see no problem with that. it's good old fashion fun. and it's something that almost anybody can do. go to your family reunion and watch your uncle getting drunk trying to lean with it and rock with it, and say that you werent having a good time.

  • no offence but its like arguing over which disease you would rather have. cancer or aids. they both can kill in different ways. the problem i have with rap is the disrespect of women, drugs, murder, gangs, glorifying prison etc.... i think that covers any region. midwest, the south, eastcoast, westcoast. rap in general needs a makeover. its all good to dance but why does it have to be defined. me personally i dont have much fun dancing by myself and i damn sure aint dancing with my guys. these new dances the motorcycle (yung joc) or snapping are not made to be done with the opposite sex. they always dancing with their guys in the videos and the women are off in the distance. you have to understand they do things very subtle. first it was braids, then pink shirts, now snapping and dancing by yourself, all while dancing to lyrics that disrepect women but then tell you to have luv for your boy and die for him if need be. see where i'm going with this. if you are influenced by rap you will either value money above all else, hate women unless you can fuck them, last be in prison or dead. nobody wants to believe it but rap is setting the tone for homosexuality but no one can see it but me. how can a blackman demand respect from anyone when dressed in all pink dont love women, and is in and out of prison.

Instead of venting on a blog, lets all write to these record companies, and TV networks that put this shit out! Ya'll wont buy the good hip hop, but will bash the art. They see black folks are too distracted with hating on what we have instead of facing the people the perpertuate the shit. Divide and conquer is all we do to each other, and that what they want us to do....Even oprah is so short sighted that she invited people that are in the hip hop industry, but not at the actual owners of the networks that allow this shit to go on? Did anyone see anyone from viacom, fox, or any other company on her panel? But yet we are only focusing on the rappers (who dont decide what singles come out anyways)These dudes are just pawns of the bigger picture! While its a blessing, they are so short-sighted on the financial aspect, that they dont see they are being used. When ya'll see rappers with jewelery and nice things, we rob and kill each other to get that shit.....thats what they want us to do folks...stop the hate and create change

  • OMG!! I have never seen it so tense in here before. I am late on this one so I will make it brief.
In order to remedy to the effect of hip hop on our kids we have to start at home. The music and images are targeted at our children so those are the ones that need protecting. Not some grown a$$ people arguing on a blog about who was the first one and the nicest one to call a woman a b%^& or h*^. As adults we can separate entertainment from reality and that should be the goal. It will always be something; it started out as jazz, blues, funk, rock, and now its hip hop. Let's on healing the community.
I don't care what you say 2Pac was the last and only rapper to make a song with a message and keep you partying. Therefore Jay-Z, Redman, Meth, Jeezy, TI and Nelly are all the same type of rapper with a different accent.
We need to fight for the advancement of our people like we fight for the respect of a genre of music. Yes, I said MUSIC. No one cares about the perservation of hip hop but black people.

  • It doesn't matter where they are from most rappers rap about the same things. Some just are more lyrical in the way they say it. Biggie, Jay-z, nas, snoop, lil wayne, young jeezy, wu-tang, whoever all got songs about drugs, hoes, cars, clothes, flossing... etc... What separates some artists from others is their ability to say the same thing without sounding like they saying the same thing. And what takes them to the next level is to be able to also speak on other things and have songs with a message and about something positive or something to make you think. In my opinion Rap, no matter the region it comes from, is not the cause of the problems, it's an effect. Men called women hoes before rap, people were killing and selling drugs before there was rap. Rappers started rapping bout that stuff cause thats the environment they grew up in. Blame the media and the consumers for the mindless, garbage rap that u hear on the radio and see on tv. You got to remember it's a business first. For these emcees it's their job, i'm sure plenty of them could make more positive songs, but if it don't get no sales and ur record company won't let u change up ur image cause they gonna lose money. u can't always blame the rapper for talking bout bs to make money, he gotta eat too. if people didn't want to hear that bull, it wouldn't be out there. If more people actually raised their children, instead of letting the tv and radio influence their whole life we would get more variety in what's played in heavy rotation. The problem is not rap or rappers. changing what they do or say won't fix anything. we got to change the mindset of the people who are buying the records. the people who believe they ain't nothing if they not balling, rolling on 24's, or u not real if u not in the streets. u can't build a house starting at the roof, u got to go from the ground up.

It is going to take one person or a group to make a come back for their region. You cant hate what the SOUTH is doing right now. The SOUTH is the reason why music is not dead. I would say the same thing, if the NORTH was doing their thing. I am from the SOUTH, and some music I hear from the south is crap. There is music I hear from the NORTH that is crap. To me, the NORTH has a lot of beef going on and that is making it hard from them. So, while they are beefing, they are allowing another region to take their shine. Again, dont hate the SOUTH. True, but if you really compare, the south is the major reason why we as a hip hop community are under attack. I look at southern videos all the time (well, I used to) and in most of the videos I see is degrading black women, cussin too much, and the messages are mostly negative) I mean look at Krptonite, Tip Drill, Money Maker. Those were all hit singles that promoted trash. You look up north with songs like Make Me Better, Show Me what You Got and Ballin. The images are easier to look at than the southern ones. Just a thought, but us as a community need to unite and face the white man together. I mean when these white people look at our black asses they can't tell where the hell we from. I mean, do you think that these white people would be able to tell that Snoop Dogg is from L.A and Jeezy is from the A. I don't think so. We need to hold of this regional beef aside and fight as a race. Forget that you from Atlanta for one second and look at your skin color. You don't have to make a reference to Atlanta in damn near every song. If you don't know where Ludacris is from by now, you just fuckin lost. But seriously. We need to break the region barrier off of us and just make positive music again. I would love to see Young Jeezy and Nas do a song together. I would love to see Dr Dre and Jazze Pha do a song. This would show the world that us a s black people are able to make positve songs with one another and leave the hip hop issues to the black hip hop community. Just a thought to think about. If u don't agree, than u just don't give a damn about you own damn culture and people.
