What’s good everybody,

Shout out to Juanita for hooking me up with this information. I’m posting the MySpot Thursday on Wednesday this week because its going down at E.S.S.O. tomorrow night and I want everybody to have enough time to make plans to attend.

BMI will present an urban music showcase featuring some of the country's most promising new talent. The showcase will be held on Thursday, April 19 at E.S.S.O. (1599 Memorial Drive) and will be hosted by artist/producer Jazze Pha along with Atlanta's Hot 107.9's Rashaan Ali.

T-Pain, Yung Joc and Fat Joe are scheduled to make special guest appearances to headline the night's entertainment. Up-and-coming artists and BMI Unsigned Urban Contest Finalists Nikkiya (www.myspace.com/supamodelnikkiya), Young ACE Scrilla (www.myspace.com/playaace), Six20 (www.myspace.com/620), and Dain Harris (www.myspace.com/dainharris) will take the stage first, one at a time, displaying why they were selected from hundreds of applicants.

The winner will be selected by an elite panel of judges, including Grand Hustle Entertainment General Manager Hannah Kang; NZONE Entertainment/Zone Boy Productions super producer DJ Toomp (T.I., Ludacris, Young Jeezy); J. Irving Group President J. Irving; entertainment attorneys Tim Mandelbaum, Uwonda S. Carter and Donald M. Woodard; BME Recordings/8th Grade Music Publishing executive VP KeKe Smith; producer Jim Jonsin (Pretty Ricky, Lil' Wayne, Jennifer Hudson); Def Jam Executive VP, A&R Jay Brown; producer J. Que (Ciara, Mary J. Blige, Usher); Mannie Fresh Chubby Boy Productions (T.I., Young Jeezy, Lil' Wayne); and Dre & Vidal (Usher, Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake). An exciting group of surprise celebrity judges will be revealed the night of the show as well.

The show is open to the general public; doors will open at 8 p.m., and the music will kick off at 9 p.m. Party goers must be at least 21-years-old with valid identification.

I'm gonna be at the spot, so all make sure to come out and watch top tier talent do their thing.

Talk to y'all lata

  • Thank you Jesus for the slow but eventual death of hiphop.

Thank you Lord for making sure no one calls the next Nigga and refer to black women as hoes and call it poetry.

Thank you Almighty for slow record sales so that rappers and industry executives lose money and learn that violence and abuse of women is not poetry or art.

We praise you always for letting hiphop die because it is killing our young black men and women.

    In Jesus Name we pray.

    Amen.
