Ok, so since Glenwood Day was cancelled due to the weather, among to ever other things. I wasn’t able to bring you all the pictures and video that I had planned. However, I did get an interesting email from a friend regarding one of Atlanta’s favorite lyricist Chris “Ludacris” Bridges
AJC blogger Elizabeth Cobb caught up with him before he performed at this years ‘Big Dance’ event. Luda opened up about his love of basketball, basketball, and didn’t I mention basketball?
Here’s what he had to say
Am I a basketball fan?
Yeah, but I don’t get to watch as much I’d like. My favorite team is Georgia Tech. You have to pull for the hometown team.
What’s your favorite team in the Final Four?
Georgetown.
Any money riding on it?
Not yet. I probably will in a minute. Last minute is when I like to make my bets.
Is it more fun to watch basketball or to play a video game in which you are a character?
You mean the Def Jam ones? I’ve been in two of them. It was a great experience. People say I have an animated personality so being in a video game is really only natural for me. It’s just more animated.
Do you play your own games?
Not as much as I would like to do. My stamina is different on different games. Put it this way, I’m pretty good.
What are you doing while you are in town?
I am here until late Monday night. I’m going to the games, of course.
Any places you’re going to hit afterwards?
I am just looking forward to hanging out with my family and friends. And hopefully spending the money I make from my bets.
What would you recommend to an out-of-towner?
Go to all the strip clubs.

Tameka Foster Expecting a Baby!

The secret is out! Usher and Tameka are expecting a baby sometime before the end of the year. The couple will exchange vows in November according to Usher's publicist, but the publicist left out one small detail: Tameka is pregnant.
I got the word this morning from an upper level music industry source who has provided rock solid information to Sandrarose.com in the past. My inside source informed me that Usher and Tameka broke the news to Usher's mom and to Tameka's ex-husband, clothier Ryan Glover. Ryan and Tameka share custody of their three children. Their amicable divorce was finalized earlier this year.
Elaborate custom invitations have gone out to the private birthday party that Usher is throwing for his mom Jonetta Patton this weekend in Atlanta. The baby will be Jonetta's first grandchild. I'm told the invites are designed to look like Roman scrolls. Will Usher and Tameka use that occasion to make the official announcement about their bundle of joy? We'll soon find out!
