City Guide Thursday: Jaime, James, and Johnta "Oh My!!!"

With Jaime Foxx in town this weekend and the NCCA Final Four Tournament also coming to the jewel of the south, ATL is going be off the chain like usual this weekend. There’s a lot going on and with that said, I’ve got a listings of all the events this weekend in today’s "City Guide."
Tomorrow night A/G entertainment has Jaime Foxx bringing the party to The Compound off of Brady Ave.If you're not sure where it is, it's over there by the popular eatery Chow Baby's on the industrial side of town off of Howell Mill. The complete address is 1008 Brady Ave.
Atlanta’s highly anticipated, well at least for me, event of the Spring is NCCA’s Big Dance. This year's lineup is extremely diverse with performances from today’s top musical acts. Here is a line up of what you can expect this weekend.
MARCH 31
LUDACRIS — This Atlanta rap royal has managed to put out good records despite a burgeoning acting career ("Crash," "Hustle & Flow"). When Ludacris performs, it's bound to be a party.
JOHNTA AUSTIN — This Atlanta singer-songwriter is a frequent collaborator with superstar Atlanta producer Jermaine Dupri. He took home a Grammy this year for co-writing the year's best R&B song, Mary J. Blige's "Be Without You." Other credits include "We Belong Together" by Mariah Carey (also a Grammy winner) and "A Public Affair" by Jessica Simpson.
APRIL 1
LL COOL J — He was among the earliest rappers to cross over onto the mainstream pop charts, eventually racking up 13 Top 40 hits. Then he was among the first to bridge the now well-traveled bridge between rapper and actor with movies such as "Toys" and the TV sitcom "In the House." Download: "Mama Said Knock You Out"
MAROON 5 — The sweet pop-meets-R&B stylings of Maroon 5's debut album, "Songs About Jane," brought them a best new artist Grammy in 2005 and four Top 40 hits. Five years later, the Los Angeles band is on the verge of releasing the appropriately titled follow-up, "It Won't Be Soon Before Long" (coming May 22). Dont trip, these kats can jam for real!
