Listen to ANY Luda album and you should notice at least this one unmistakable thing about him and his music- HE'S NOT A SOLDIER. When he describes his so-called upbringing and struggles in life, they are NOT that compelling- and he knows that. I'm not suggesting that he has absolutely no ethnic integrity, but it appears that he would rather focus on getting that money because at the end of the day, it's the only REAL thing that matters to a majority of people. I think, as far as he's concerned, it's all about your monetary value, and, unfortunately, that line of thinking ultimately puts his judgement and reasoning abilities in a flawed position.

I've loved hip-hop since there ever was such a thing, but, no matter how talented an artist might be, or, how fly their production is, I have a difficult time listening to any artist that doesn't exhibit the traits of a pro-ethic, anti-sell-out, all-balls-out, willing to ride-or-die for their people and/or for the sake of their own personal integrity type of character. Luda is a natural, yet, groomed and polished, ENTERTAINER- no more, no less. I think the lines of integrity become blurry to him, and, negroes like him when it comes to money, power, and priviledge.

He's often bragged about being in a position to shit on the next cat, so, when T.I. checked up on him, it was no surprise to me (and, if I were T.I., I wouldn't do a song with Luda neither).

Luda's maneuvers are slick- but, they are not imperceptible- Example: Luda primarily did a song with Jeezy (as well as, B.G., Juvenile, Pimp C, etc.) because of the appeal of the artist and to lend merit to his own street cred, because, he doesn't have a true measure of it, REAL TALK.

Fans and listeners need to stop letting entertainers and the industry spoon-feed them just anything, and start taking an objective look at the purest motivations of the Artist.

The Petition is a very noble and strong statement to Luda against his decision, but I'm not certain that it will amount to much, and, as long as it doesn't amount to much, artists like Luda are gonna have a hard time giving a fuck about you think. It shouldn't even take a petition to make a person give a shit, so that alone should let you know where that artist really stands.

With that being said, I've listened to all of his CD's- but, never purchased any of them because I felt that he didn't appeal to my definition of an appropriate call of duty.
