What’s da deal, everyone?
What a weekend! Shout out to my special informant who attended V103’s own Ryan Cameron’s birthday bash. It seems that my invitation keeps getting lost in the mail when Ryan has events. Still, the Gyant won’t be denied. All the Atlanta celebs were in attendance. Bobby Valentino, Michael Vic, Emmanuel Lewis (Webster), Frank Ski and others came to celebrate Ryan’s … damn, I forgot how old He is. “Yo, Ryan, how old are you?â€

From what I hear, the line to get into the spot, which was held at Club 112, was thick as hell. The bottles were poppin and everybody was toastin it up in celebration of one of Atlanta’s own country boys. Here’s to you, Ryan! Keep doin your thing. And next year, I’l be looking for my personal invitation …

This week, I got a new Poppin or Floppin video. My man Ludacris is still tryin to do his thing and save Release Therapy from falling into obscurity. In case you didn’t know, Luda dropped his fifth studio album under the Island/Def Jam umbrella back in September, same day as Janet Jackson. However, to compete with the pop icon and take her claim for another #1 album, Def Jam dropped Luda’s album sales price to an unbelievable $6.99. Though that drastic sales price guaranteed Christopher the “Number One Spot,†Release Therapy quickly fell out of the top 10 just two weeks later. Even as it seems people have moved on to the next rapper, Luda refuses to give up. He’s enlisted the soulful sound of MJB to bring “Run Away Love†to the masses.
I love the message of the song, though I find it difficult to absorb the message completely because of all the socially irresponsible music Luda puts out. I’M NOT HATING, I’M JUST KEEPIN IT REAL.
Show your love, or hate, for “Runaway Love.â€
In related news ..
Luda shot a behind the scenes featurette with SOHH.com. Check it out here.

One more thing, that Bow Wow rumor is officially deaded. He will not be playing a bisexual character in an upcoming movie. SOHH.com got it straight from his PR people. It's not happenin.
Oh and by the way,
SOHH Gyant is looking for you!!
Yo, I'm doing my best to make this Atlanta spot pop with excitement, but I need your help. I believe we got a lot of talented people in the "A," more so here than any other place. I want to expose my city's great talent â€" and ultimately you! If you got some skills and are trying to maximize your exposure then you need to holla at me.
In two weeks I'm launching "Sohh Atlanta's Own" â€" a great way to showcase my kats with those insane lyrical/vocal skills. Don't play yourself; Sohh is one of the biggest leading hip-hop websites on the planet. The biggest acts in the world come here to see what we say, what we're doing, and who got the skills to take the game to the next level.
Every Friday, starting December 8th, I will post the hottest talents who submit me their music in MP3 format. Make ya move, and when you get to the top you can make sure to send me a check.

Luda new Video, song and delivery is not just hard but it's real. he talken bout what is really going on in todays society and talken about what goes on the hoods in America...and not just in the hoods of America but all around the Globe.....hands down this video here falls under Brenda's gotta baby catagory.....big props to LUda....one love...the Souf baby.(and yes i said the Souf cuz!!!!1
release therapy is wack he can't save the album, it's too much heat out there now.
I love the message of the song, though I find it difficult to absorb the message completely because of all the socially irresponsible music Luda puts out. I’M NOT HATING, I’M JUST KEEPIN IT REAL.
No you keepin it full of shit...so you dont see how he can put THIS song out with the socially irresponsible musik he puts out. Its called diversity. Now I bet youll be a on the drug game dick next blog. Im sorry but that paragraph shows that you shouldnt be the poster of this blog. Its called diversity and its a growing issue in the us and that includes blacks. Stop being young minded and applaud the man for doin something different.
Nice Blog Gyant...u do the damn thing...
luda is still that nigga regardless bc his albums have shelf life numbers be slow but he be selling bow wow could of had a breakout role plus he live in the A where he might get raped again
I HATED Money Maker, but I'm loving the song with Mary J.
Damn...Def Jam dropped the price of Luda's album to $6.99? WTF
i'd have to agree wit the leak. i dont hate on any blogger on sohh because i have better things to do with my life but dayum kid give luda his props and leave it at that. Luda's speakin the truth and steady hatin for reasons beyond my understanding. I would have liked to see Luda do bigger numbers but thats just how shit goes. His albums was one of the greatest of the year to me.It spoke of truth and reality and not about blasten niggas up to prove your studio gangsta and slangin coke. I just wish more people could validate this mans music to the fullest extent. he's a genius.
i fucked that last post all up. edit it wit your minds people.
@gyant-I think you are being a little hypocritical about the Luda thing. Everyone considers 2Pac one of the greatest rappers ever and all of his music did not discuss advancing us as a society. I am pretty sure that a lot of rappers have some socially responsible music but those songs never make it as singles. So leave Chris Luva Luva alone. So don't hate the rapper hate consumer for buying it.
Ryan party was a blast I had a great time.
I did not like MoneyMaker but Runaway Love is one of my favorite videos and songs right now! Luda's album is actually some good hiphop but he keeps releasing that damn ass shaking shit to no end...But I digress!
Keep up the hoopla Sohh Gyant!
Come on, luda is trying to do something different and your dogging him. lol. i know according to you great albums have to sell all kinds of units.. but have you notice sales are down everywhere? not to many albums in hip hop are hitting platnium right out the box or even 500k out of the box. so for you to say luda's album is not good because of sales is BS.
"I love the message of the song, though I find it difficult to absorb the message completely because of all the socially irresponsible music Luda puts out."

Okay Luda shouldn't be taken seriously because some of his socially irresponsible music, but he exhibits enough character to make him worthy of you using his name to draw extra views to your blog.
Irony.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Let me find out yall niggaz hired Oprah.
I dont get it?! Release Therapy is Luda's best album! The shit is fire!! And its only gone gold! Pathetic. Same with Busta's Big Bang! A CLASSIC! his best work! And it went gold??
Hip Hop is DEAD.
Dang homey...now ya'll deletin my posts???
That's sad...I mention some good that Allhiphop is doin in the community, and then ask what you folks are doin...and they go deletin the whole response?
Rather than do good, SOHH choses to delete references to others doing good.
SOHH, you symbolize the problem with hip hop. For fear of "big upp'in" the competition, you try and act like it DOES NOT EXIST. Then when it becomes a "problem"...what you gonna do?
Ya'll might as well just block my IP, it's alot easier than chasin down my posts.
Or open up that SOHH Spiritual blog I keep talkin about. Being that hip hop is from the people, you oughta know best of all that you can't silence the people? Come on now....what's really real.
Shame on SOHH.COM!!
Christ Bless!

Luda's pretty smart he knew that snap music and animation rap and videos we used to seeing him put out was not going to last. Any real hip-hop head realizes that times are changing it aint about hooks and beats anymore you have to come lyrically correct now cause of the niggas that s dropping (jay,nas,etc..)
So luda came with a more real to life approach on this album . Personally i think his album is hot its just maybe all the kids and females did not buy into this luda. They all wanted the same old luda. But thats what happens when you got real NYC lyricist dropping everything else gets shut down..... NOTHING PERSONAL JUST THE TRUTH NUMBERS DONT LIE CHECK THE CHARTS....
FOR THE DUMB A$$E$ THAT SAID LUDA ONLY WENT GOLD..HE HAS WENT PLATINUM ACCORDING TO http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludacris, GET EDUCATED B4 YOU SPEAK!

OF COURSE IT WOULD TAKE A NY DUDE TO BRING UP SNAP MUSIC. LUDA NEVER DID SNAP, AND ONCE AGAIN JUST GIVE LUDA HIS PROPS & KEEP IT MOVING. YALL WEREN'T SAYING CHECK THE CHARTS WHEN BUSTA & GHOST WERE DROPPING. AT THAT TIME YALL WERE YELLING SELLS DON'T MATTER. OH WELL! WHAT YOU FAIL TO UNDERSTAND IS THAT SOUTHERN ARTISTS CAN GO INDI & COLLECT 85 %. THE SOUTH WILL NEVER FALL OFF. WE'LL JUST CHANGE THE HUSTLE.
How the hell is Luda album wack & not doing good? What? i think his album is tight & his album has sold over 765,558 to date that is great, considering the climate of this fucked up industry. Yall need to give Luda his props he never sold cocaine, but he still the fucking man! I rides with you Luda keep doing ya thang! And paperboy what the hell are you talking about? Ludacris aint never did no snap music, & the only cat that sold some records from NY this year was Jay-Z & probably will be the only one. Its artist in the south who are independent making way more money that you NY major label niggas..get ya mind right, stop hating & using false info!
I just wanna holla at JP for a second man, I haven't heard Release Therapy but as far as there being too much heat right now name me some because I'm in Iraq but we still get the same music ya'll get minus Jigga and Clipse which my cuz sent me and both are sub par so let me know what I'm missing.
you Luda is tight and he is doing his thing.....he is not a snap artist so get it straight.......
He'll go platinum by the time the 3rd single dies down. Its a good album and if you support hip hop then by the album..........
Cause far as ATL goes D4L,or any other snap arists is not the south.........
THE SNAP DANCE STARTED AS SOMEONE TRYING TO BE FUNNY IN THE CLUB. THEN THE NEXT THING YOU KNOW ITS THE COOL THING TO DO...........
AS FAR AS THE NEXT ARTIST FOR 07 LOOK FOR DOLLAONE........HES NOT A SNAP ARTIST OR A TRAP RAPPER HE BRINGS THAT
FEEL GOOD MUSIC ALL AROUND WHETHER ITS TALK FOR THE CLUB OR SOMETHING ON THE REAL.........DOLLAONE IS IT FOR THE 2007......TRUST ME
MYSPACE.COM/DOLLAONE.........LADIES LUV HIM & FELLAS RESPECT HIM
yo whattup gyant. i'd have 2 disagree with you on the comment you made about luda. yes, dude has made some socially irresponsible music. does that mean that he can't ever come out with a song with a good message? of course not. You have to look at this song in context of this album. luda really shows alot of maturity on this album, and is in a totally different mindset than he was on the previous albums. he's growing as an artist. and when u grow and mature, u often contradict or seemingly contradict things you have said in the past. luda is taking an active, positive roll in the community with various organizations. let his works speak for him.

Yeah, some blog topics you gotta question. The remark about Luda making socially irresponsible music is plain stupid. The blogger who mentioned Pac hit it on the nose. What about TI losing a friend to bullshit violence after dropping a track like "What You know" then coming with "Live in the Sky", and then flipping it back to "Top Back." ? I don't question either artist, I'm actually glad TI showed the versatility cuz that's what I thought he was missing. But the blog shows an obivious dilsike and a bias against Luda, so it would be better if you just titled it "I don't like Luda" and be done with it.
