I'm Moving to Atlanta

That's it. I'm packing my bags and moving my ass down to Atlanta. I've only spent three days there and fell in love several times over. Ha! The city must have made quite an impression on me if I wanna move without having been to a strip club.
I'm allergic to poultry, so I was glad to not see any birds in the A. I mean, I assume that they can be found everywhere, but I just didn't encounter any during my stay. I came in contact with nothing but friendly, well-mannered women down there, from the diner waitresses to the local BET freelancers. Busted chicks were quite scarce.

Being held at Atlanta’s Mason Murer Fine Arts Gallery, the fiesta was sponsored by Hennessey, Boost Mobile and BET.com. Let's not forget the "gifted" dancers who entertained on the stage and speakers. Nelly, Chamillionaire, Snoop Dogg and Styles P all made appearances while JD served as the master of ceremony for the latter part of the evening.

There weren't any screw faces and nobody was too cool to dance. It seems like Atlanta is filled with the fun other cities lost years ago. The same rules seem to apply outside of the club. Strangers routinely greet each other with respectful nods here. It's refreshing. So I'm out. I hate to love New York, but I'm about to start looking for spots in the A, preferably at proximity from Body Tap or Magic City.

Of course everybody wants to move to ATL. Me being from New Jersey, you know how much you can get for a house down there? A hell of a lot more than what you get up here plus the weather sucks and that Turnpike stench just wont go away. I visit my fam down in da A every summer, and get pissed when I gotta make that drive back up 85 & 95. I must admit, the summer's are a bitch down south but then again they dont call Hotlanta for nothing. For now ATL is my second home, but in the future it will be my permanent home.

I went to school in Atlanta and lived there for 4 years after I graduated. It's a nice city but for my career, I needed to come back home to the NY. Plus it's getting hella crowded now as if 400 and 285 wasn't a parking lot already.
The ratio of women to men is crazy down there. Currently I live in VA but I do plan to move back and make a home. I love the A! But we do have some fake ass chicks down here. I would say Miami is the southern San Fran not the A. And you can't forget the food. But if you decide to venture past Agusta you better make sure where you plan to stop or just plan to get down to Fla.

I lived in the A for one year and I hated it. It's an overhyped city I live in DC and love it so much more than the overhyped A.
I went to school at Howard D.C. is ok it's expensive as hell to live there thats why I am in VA now. the Clubs are ok. What part did you stay in?

The A's a pretty nice city. I'm from Mississippi and everytime we have a hurricane we always stay in the A. Its like my 2nd or 3rd home. I just remember 10 years ago when I went to the A four times in one summer. I was gonna move then but that's another story. Whoever said NYC is a slum is right - and so is newark, jersey city, irvington, nj. And I'm from there. But real talk, the south is where it's at. Even if you don't live in Atlanta, the south in general is way better than the north as far as quality of life and living. The only thing I miss about NYC is Canal St and the shopping.

I like the A it's a cool city but I love jacksonville florida I think j'ville is going to become the new atlanta they have a up in coming hip hop scene about to blow up. The one bad thing is the dope game there they have a high murder rate because of the dope game cats are fighting for dope spots but I think when the hip hop scene blow up that will help cut that down some. I also like the programs for brothas and sistas there to help them focus on education which is the key I love that city I went there and fell in love with it I love jacksonville florida.

Yes there is a $3 curve on every job but if you were say making $11 an hour out here you would make $8 an hour down there but it would be like you're making 11 because the cost of living balances things out. Contrary to any of the people on here that are hating on Atl, it didn't always use to be like this. It has actually gotten much better and safer for you booty ass niggas who be hating. Might I remind you that prior to the 96' olympics we were just like any other state with stupid ass violence and murders. But now 10 years later the cracks have revived the city by tearing down all 40 of the ject's with the exception of 13, and moving all of these people to far away places not caring where they go. It's a fact, just look up gentrification in Atl. And that gay shit, the next time you run into a gay dude or chick, ask them where they are from. Because they are not from here. They are from a block near you. I know I work with and around alot of them.
Oh yeah and one more thing, the real Atl only has a population of half a million people here so how could you possibly think we would have more gay men than places like NY or LA for that matter. I plan on moving to the ATL also, people need to stop hatin on other cities that's just retarded. I'm from tha Bay Area Frisco to exact and you'll keep comparing frisco to the ATL. Frisco does have tons gay people but it's not what people think. The only thing that makes san francisco stand out as far as gays is because they have the own little community called the castro. San Francisco has a part of the city for everybody, black,mexican,chinese,hippies on haight,ect so stop thinking frisco is all gay cause they don't advertise the ghettos with triple homicides everyday and all the other corruption that goes on. But anyway I think the ATL is where it's at right now. So give props when props are due. The east and west coast is catered towards white uppper and middle class people and we have to compete with them in there world, but Atlanta is geared more towards african americans with historic black colleges,also it's home to the largest black entreprenuers & Millionaires, it's a majority black city that is actually progressing. How could you hate on that. I love the west coast but let's face it there is not alot of successful black people doing big things around here because there is a huge lack of opportunities for black people. So big up to the ATL for having a place for black people to call home that ain't the ghetto and does have plenty jobs for our people provided by our people. And who cares about fags there taking over America if you have'nt noticed there everywhere the only difference is they are accepted in some places more than others. Get a grip on the punk shit cause it's bigger than that!

I'm from Atlanta, I love it and its always gone be my home. We got beautiful women, good food, and we have become a great international metropolis. We have problems just like every other city with traffic, drugs, and murders. I don't like New York folks that much because they so arrogant and disrespectful. I've kicked it with people from the midwest, Cali, and everywhere else and they respect our city and there wouldn't be so many Down Low Faggots here if all of them would have just stayed up north where they came from because most of the people who are from here are totally against that shit.

Okay, first of all i LIVE in atlanta and if you were born and raised here like i was, you'd know how annnoying these people get.
I admit, we be flossin down here, but if you stay here for a long time you would definately wanna move back to where you came from, this place makes New Jersey look like The Virgin islands, for christ sake. You need to get out more.
Of course whereever black people are, the culture is gonna be off the chain. Black women are beautiful everywhere I go. I think that the A is a better city to visit, than to live. I think New York is better. No, I'm not from NY. I'm from DC. Technically I live in the south anyway, so I aint bashin. New York has everything you could want. The only thing is finding cheap houses to live in, but if you have to find money for something, you gonna find the money so calm down. New York has a downtown, within a down town. Manhattan is the shit man. There are beautiful women there too. Different types of people instead of one type. So many historic places are there and that is where big music business takes place. If you wanna talk about more of a quiet feel in nyc, there are the outher places like Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn. New York state is beautiful too. People will only be in love with a new city when they first move there though. When you get used to it, you wanna go somewhere else. That's why I say God bless airplanes. It's all about what you like though. I've been on plenty of websites with people saying that they wanna move from the A, to New York. So, it's just how you feel.
My friend is moving to Atlanta from New Jersey for a change, she said that she's getting tired of the crowds and she says it's so expensive in New Jersey and she says she loves Atlanta.
