Atlanta HipHop Film Festival to take place in April 2006

Creative Circle Entertainment announces the 2nd annual Atlanta HipHop Film Festival to take place in the month of April 2006. The three-day festival grants awards to films influenced by HipHop culture as well as honoring prominent hip hop artists who have transitioned from music to film. Creative Circle Entertainment welcomes both established and aspiring filmmakers from the U.S. and abroad to submit their work for consideration.

The Atlanta HipHop Film Festival is currently accepting all submissions for Feature Films, Short Films, Documentaries and Music Videos that celebrate HipHop culture via plot, music and/or characters. Awards will also be presented for Best HipHop Feature, Best HipHop Short Film, Best HipHop Documentary, Best Music Video, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Score, Best HipHop Throwback Film and Best HipHop Futuristic Film. Winners will receive an award and gift bag of prizes courtesy of the festival's sponsors.

filmmakers who create a positive voice for the HipHop community." says Shameka Gumbs, President of Creative Circle Entertainment.

Last year's attendees and participants included Jason Weaver, Lazy Bone, Lil' Scrappy, Xstacy of Whodini, T.J Duckett, Ralph Farquhar, Jessica Care Moore, and Dylon formerly of Da Band. Ludacris and Mos Def recorded acceptance speeches, and the event also included a special live performance from BoneCrusher.

Entries can be submitted prior to December 9, 2005 for an early entry fee of $15. Entriessubmitted after December 9, 2005 will require a submission fee of $25.
The deadline for submissions is January 13, 2006.
