Introduced to the world a decade ago via her 1998 feature on Slip-N-Slide label mate Trick Daddy’s “Nann,” Miami native, Katrina Taylor, better known as Trina, earned respect from the rap world with platinum-selling debut “Da Baddest B***h” (2000) and gold albums “Diamond Princess” and “Glamorous Life.” Now Slip-N-Slide's Diamond Princess is preparing to release her fourth album Still The Baddest this week, Tuesday April 1st. 24 Hour Grind caught up with one of the last ladies standing in hip-hop to find out the key to her continued success.

Use Your Focus to Give You The Strength To Succeed

I’m strong, I’m independent, I’m a go-getter. It takes a lot to do what I do. To be in a business that’s so male dominated and be able to stand amongst all of that? To remain standing above all the critics, the scrutiny and all the drama and remain humble and continue to do what you have to do takes a lot. You got to have your mind right, you gotta be focused, you gotta know exactly what you’re trying to get at. Not everybody is that strong. That’s what makes me bad, that’s what makes me strong, that’s what makes me who I am.
