It seems everyday I keep running into new stories to post about the cast, so as long as u all are down to keep the momentum going then so am I! To that end, I’ve just learned that the always cute Kristin Davis (Charlotte York-Goldenblatt) will debut her own line exclusively sold at BELK this fall. The line which will range from $38 - $240 will feature many Charlotte influenced “ultra-feminine clothing and accessories including intimates, footwear, and handbags and jewelry.” Look for Kristin’s line across the 16 southern BELK state locations and worldwide on belk.com. ROCK IT or RACK IT: Tracee Ellis Ross…..
A new CHANEL boutique opened up in Beverly Hills last week, and look who was on hand to help break things in. Usually the style maven both off screen and as her former personality Joan Clayton, Tracee Ellis Ross took a very responsible fashion left turn in this blue and red checkered ¾ length Prada dress, she paired with black Christian Louboutin pumps. I know how I feel about this get-up, but I want to know what you think of it. Did she absolutely ROCK this look? Or does her assistant need to return this multi pattern mess to the RACKS right now?

REMEMBERING: Yves Saint Laurent.......

“He was crowned a boy wonder after taking over the house of Christian Dior, following the legendary designer's sudden death, at the age of 21 in 1958”.
“Yves Saint Laurent, the designer who revolutionized fashion by first putting women in pantsuits, died Sunday in Paris of cancer after a long illness at the age of 71.
In a remarkable five-decade career, Saint Laurent empowered a generation of women; his ground-breaking brainwave of putting women in masculine yet chic tuxedoes was a defining moment in fashion.

Saint Laurent’s designs celebrated the growing empowerment of women and their increasing sexual liberation, dressing them in thigh-high leather boots, see-through blouses and his legendary black tuxedos, or “le smoking” as the French referred to them. (fashionwiredaily)
"A woman's wardrobe shouldn't change every six months”, he told a reporter in a 1983 interview. “You should be able to use the pieces you already own and add to them." Through the '90s, the designer continued putting fresh faces on his runway – as he did in 1992, with a young new model named Tyra Banks.”

In Regret and Celebration of the Life of Yves Saint Laurent, Super Model Naomi Campbell credited the designer saying that she owes “him everything”. She told PEOPLE. “He was the one who campaigned to put me on the cover on French Vogue and I was the first woman of color to be on the cover — that was because of him.” In 1987 Campbell became the first black model to grace the cover of British Vogue, and thanks to Saint Laurent, she made the French Vogue cover a year later. “He was so supportive of me,” she said adding: “Not just for me, for women of color everywhere.” In honor of her mentor and friend, Campbell, who is slated to replace Kate Moss as the face of the brand this fall, wore a YSL autumn/winter 2008-9 creation to last night’s CFDA Awards in New York.” (people)
